Finally seen a endo

I seen the endocrinologist today, have a few questions for those with knowledge in this area. For those who did not see my last blood test results my LH and FSH were raised to high the blood test was only run around 6 weeks after my pct. These were the results -

Serum FSH - 15u/L (1.5 - 12.4)
Serum LH level 22u.L (1.7 - 8.6)

I asked the endo would he retest as the last ones were only 6 weeks after my pct but he said there was no need and offered me 3 options which were -

1 injection of testosterone every 3 month
Test gel daily

or

hcg if i wanted to have kids in the future

I picked the test gel but don't really want to start it as its a life time treatment and im only 24 years old. Id rather have my LH and FSH tested again first to make sure as its now been around 4 months. He wants to do bloods after 6 weeks using the gel and see what they come back as. Im thinking of paying private for the LH and FSH myself and if they are still high then ill start the treatment.

if your T is low despite high LH/FSH, then hcg isn't going to work.

but i agree that you should test again and take your time to decide. no need to rush into this unless you're suffering from severe symptoms.

I believe we spoke about this before. There's a chance you were still hyper-stimulated from your serms. I'd retest before you do anything, then decide. If it comes back the same then exactly what AD said.

Now, you're in the UK so was the every 3 month test he offered Nebido? If so, all reports I've seen are great on it. Marcus here is on it as are others and do great. There are some good threads on it here. Use the search function and check them out.

The testosterone blood levels were normal just the LH and FSH were raised. Ive worked out the timing after my pct and the bloods and they were closer than i thought so chances are they were raised for that reason. The endo wouldn't run another test for my LH and Fsh untill after 6 weeks of using the gel so im finding a private place i can go and pay for these before i jump into using the test.

When I get a retest if the levels are still high ill give the gel a go first then the injection if the gel dont give me any satisfaction. I already have the gel but aint started to use it.
