weightlifting before trt test?
Hi, im 20 6'4 225 14% bf, grew up playing sports and currently have been weightlifting for 4 years and train at a mma gym. Greq up with a healthy diet and have good genetics, build muscle well and have a good body.
I recently have gotten bloodwork from two doctors , one bloodwork scored my test at 259 total and 8 free.
My family doctor did a total and it was 359
So now I have been refered to a urologist, I have the appointment thursday and im wondering if I should lift today or tomorrow before? Will this throw off my results?
I havent lifted since last tuesday and have been on a deload the last 3 weeks (more so from depression of realizing I have low test, been unmotivated and kinda let down)
Thank you if you help and ill keep yall posted on what my results are thursday and wether ill be on trt.

I don't think it'll make much difference, but skip working out until you do BW anyway.

wait a minute son! you're only 20, you need to see what's causing your low T first, it could be many things. MRI for pituitary to rule in/out tumors, thyroid to make sure its doing what it suppose to, etc...

My family doctor said theres like a 99.99% chance its not a tumor but said it could be, you know how expensive an MRI is lol...

True but you know how long being on trt for the rest of your life is? It's worth checking out.

Honestly if I can have kids later down the road im okay with trt, I love weightlifting and fighting and plan to emjoy it the rest of my life.
I understand a lot about juice hence I've been around these kinds of forums since I was 18 , the only thing that scares ke is the possibility of being infertile.

you are speaking out of ignorance, you have no clue what you're wishing for! I doubt any doctor will put you on TRT, maybe clinics, and any clinic that is willing to put you on TRT will definitely screw you up beyond repair. not trying to scare you kid, just want you to be aware that TRT is not a magic bullet. you should do everything you can to avoid it, meaning more testing different doctors until you find out what is causing your low T.

Hey bud are you on any pain killers, anti-depressants or other type of medication? High stress levels, lack of sleep or depression? Just searching and hoping there may be some other reasons. Hate to see a young guy like yourself jump into TRT when there may be some other cause.

Dude trust in this, you don't want trt at your age. As good as we may feel on trt, we are not 20 years old, and, if given the choice to be off trt and producing normally we would all take it. Do yourself a favor and do everything you can to get your body properly diagnosed.

Furthermore, read the forum a bit and you're going to find how many of us have tried re starts hoping to get off trt. I was one of them. Do your due diligence.

^^^ what all these guys said. Find the reason cause honestly trt sucks. There are so many things you have to be aware off and keep in check. Plus having to take 4-5 shots a week, AI, supplements. It's a lot work.

Hey guys thanks for the insight and help, I will say I dont take any medication or any thing prescribed to me.
I have had ADHD since I was 5 ... always had a problem concentrating.
My family a is upper middle class and was when I was growing up. I ate really healthy food, exercised, was very active as a kid and always had great genetics.
Im 6'4 225 at 14-16% bf and im pretty strong, played ice hockey the most growing up (played everything) and started mma at 15
Im quite confused as to why I have low t, im quite hairy, a larger guy and have strong male characteristics.
My Doc said its not nutrition and not thyroid. He is also confused but said trt might be neccessary after running said tests, he has sent me to a urologist which I see tomorrow, ill keep yall informed and I can post up my original bloodwork that got me concerned in all this. Sorry I cant flip the images currently in class and on my phone

TRT doesn't discriminate. I'm similar to you physically, if you judge this book by the cover you would never guess that I have hypogonadism. I was always playing sports, working out a few times per week & have a physically demanding job then it began to effect me in my late twenties. Finally a few years later (33 years old) it got bad enough for me to go to the Doctor & discover my Testosterone levels were in the senior citizen levels. It's just like so many other medical conditions, you can't diagnose an individual just by their appearance.
What is your current diet like? Not detailed macros but what do you eat on a daily basis? Typical "Western Diet" such as processed grains, sugar, soft drinks, fast food & does it come pre made in a box? That was my old diet & I have overhauled my diet to remove these items over the last year or so & it has greatly improved my quality of life in addition to the benefits from TRT. Check out this link: http://www.peaktestosterone.com/Test...Chemicals.aspx
Good luck with the Urologist, hopefully he's one of the good ones & can get you squared away. It appears that many Urologists aren't the best TRT physicians but some are great. I see a Urologist for my TRT & he takes great care of me. Remember that you are the boss when it comes to your health, do everything in your ability to ensure this Urologist uses all options prior to placing you on TRT, TRT is no picnic & is for the rest of your LIFE. You are a young man with many years ahead of you.Last edited by EverettCD; 11-20-2013 at 01:31 PM. Reason: Added diet Q

Same thing here yetti. Big dude and toss around weight easy. I get laughed when I say I have low-t. However you might have strong male characteristics but you can maybe a high level or normal of DHT in your body going thru puberty. DHT is the top dog of hormones for males. Test is very important as well don't get me wrong. But you can still be manly with low-t for sure. If I'm wrong then I'm a dope and I apologize but I reading some stuff about dht
