    Insurance Issues

I currently having problems with my insurance covering my Testosterone Cyp. I tried to fill it last night at costco and they said my insurance doesn't cover it because insurance only covers a 30 day supply of 10 ML test cyp. So I called my insurance and they pretty much said the same thing. My script is .25 ml 2x per week, so that should last me about 20 weeks. Because my prescription last over the 30 days that they can't cover it how it is written? I don't even know how that makes any sense. Does anyone else have these problems? They pretty much said if he rewrites the prescription to 10ML per month then they will cover it. In my plan it say this "testosterone cypionate Generic: $10.00 Per Prescription Quantity limit: 10ml per month. Not available through mail-service pharmacy. "

Have your Doc change the script or get an Authorization for your specific dosing. His office should help you with this. Insurance loves to play games, as it saves them money in the long-run...

Only way for them to make it work was to change it to two 1 ml vials of test cyp per month @ $10 per pick up so it would cost $50 to equal a 10ml bottle and it cost me without insurance covering it $61 for the 10ml bottle. Im only saving $11 but im being inconvenienced to have to goto pharmacy every month? Any else have this problem with blue shield ca?

have ur doc change prescription to say:

    use as directed

(with no set amounts listed at all on prescription)

should remove any issues, then u should be able to obtain a bottle every month! also check out walgreens or cvs because its like $10 per month IF ur doc changes script to what i said!

shouldnt have an issue obtaining ur 10 ml vial every month,

^^^^^ Agreed with what they are saying. My insurance didn't cover it but I had my Doc write a script for the 10 ml vial and it only costs $60 bucks at Costco for 200 mg/ml of test Cypionate . And it works out to a free bottle of Cyp every three months....

He won't rewrite the script like that because he says he doesn't want to be flagged for prescribing too much. We worked out something through my insurance mail order that will send me 2 1ml every month, so hopefully everything works out. It would be nice to get a 10 ml a month though

Or enjoy not having insurance covering anything TRT related in about a year, give or take. That is 100% guaranteed. And that's not being negative, that's basic reality. All you guys who use insurance for TRT need to start planning.

I have had the same problem that is how I found goodrx. The funny thing is sometimes the pharmacy will fill and sometimes they will not. It depends on the technician and how they enter it in the computer I guess.....
