    My 6 month Update on TRT

    [SIZE=4]TRT Update – 6 months

    Here is my update which I hope might be helpful as a ‘thank you’ from the help and feedback I have had from this very good forum. Thank you to Kel, GD, Vett, Bass, EvCD, and others for their input.

    I started with Total T of 380 ng/dL, Free T 5.7 pg/ml, E2 38 pg/ml, SHBG 44 nmol/L, DHEA-S 150mcg/dL & Vit D low.

    After going through a lengthy dialing in period which included some mistakes, my protocol is now 70 mg T in the form of T enanthate split into 2 x 35mg/wk , 300 iu hcg EOD, using Bass’s two spot method sub-q into love handle and opposite glute & hcg into belly fat, 0.25 mg adex/wk split into 2 x .125mg, 5 000iu vit D/day, one capsule daily of nettle root (to suppress SHBG) and approx. 10mg DHEA/day and 50 mg zinc/day. I take Cialis generally on a 5mg x once or twice daily.

    I was taking 70 mg T in the form of T propionate on an EOD basis, which raised levels to 1350 ng/dL – but it produced red itchy lumps, so I had to drop it. It seems like the prop was better recovered by the body. The same 70mg/wk with T enanthate brings the Total T to 760 – not sure why this is.

    My wife and I are also on a low sugar good nutrition anti candida way of eating which I think has been very helpful from a general health viewpoint.

    Latest blood test results: Total T 760 ng/dL, Free T 15.6 pg/ml, E2 21.5 pg/ml, SHBG 39, DHEA-s 250 mcg/dL, Vit D 52 nmol/L – not too bad I think.
    Maybe total T could be a bit higher, E2 slightly higher and free T a bit higher – but a lot better than pre TRT.

    Observations: The general effect has been much more subdued than I was expecting. Libido and erection strength are still rather hit and miss but definitely better.
    I may need to give it another 6 months to see the full benefits here. Strength – no gains, or very small, but no loss either – that’s okay. General well-being is quite okay –
    Not jumping out of my skin, but feel pretty okay. It is a real discipline to stay at my target weight of 170-172 lb (78kg) - only small amounts of sugar/carbs spike weight.

    Thoughts & comments welcome. JH.

    you have just described a successful TRT protocol. congratulations for getting dialed in. only one suggestion, increase you D3 to 20,000 iu daily, this will help you get your vitamin D where you needed, also will lower your SHBG a little which meant free up more testosterone . was the E2 sensitive assay? happy for you man.
