Low testosterone 22 - vitamin d deficiency
Hey all,
I just had my total testerone checked and it came back
At 15 on a scale of 5 - 30
He didn't check my free testosterone but my vitamin d came back at 55 on a 50-350 scale....
My question is I'm almost sure my free testosterone is in the toilet as I get plenty of sun and take vitamin d supplement
Could the fact that I'm not absorbing vitamin d mean that my free testosterone is low
I'm 22 and have classic low test symptoms ed, no libido, muscle problems

what's your vit d dose? I have heard of people taking 50,000 IU D3 every several days to combat this problem. That is what my friends doctor has him doing rather than trt, thinks he can fix the problem but says it takes a long time to bring the d levels up.

A quality dose of D3 is 5000 Iu a day, that coming from some veteran lifters on another board.
Having low test at that age is concerning. are they going to start you on some sort of therapy?

I had to take 20,000 iu each day to get it in the upper range, some do 50,000iu but rare. it would be best to do the whole male panel to see what doing what, otherwise its a shot in the dark looking at two number!

I mean your numbers are in the middle. If this was say a labocorp panel with a range of 348-1197 you'd be at 600 which is the average level for someone in their early 20's. As you stated though, your free T is probably in the toilet.
But we need more blood work.
If your doctor will not run a further panel, you need to pay out of pocket. At the bare minimum The Male Hormone Panel from Labcorp.
