    HCG timing

It's now been two weeks since I started T. cypionate and next week I'm adding HCG after reading the threads here. At the 6 week blood work I will determine the need for an AI.

Here is a pharmacology/physiology question: If I take 50 mg T. cypionate Sunday and Thursday, is there any benefit to staggering the shots so that the T is taken as above and the HCG is taken on Tuesday and Friday? Does that give a smoothing out of the blood levels of testosterone rather than mixing both T and HCG in the same syringe and taking them at the same time? I'm trying to avoid peaks in the blood levels of testosterone as, according to my understanding, the peak levels of testosterone increases the aramotizing of T into Estrogen.

Having said that I dislike injecting myself and if there is no real benefit to staggering the shots, two needles a week would be preferable to four a week!

On a twice per week protocol timing hcg is not necessary as blood levels of T should be relatively stable. Do what's easiest for you, get the appropriate BW done and titrate accordingly.

My Rx for TRT is 200 e2 weeks, but I inject 100 mg e5d. With multi dose vial at normal Rx schedule I should run out in 5 months. I'm actually ably to refill after about 3 months. Insurance must see that as not too early.
I pin HCG every 2 to 3 days. I vary it. No biggy. But try not to hcg on same day as t cyp.
There are stickies out there that cover HCG protocols.

Besides being unnecessary, I'd question the wisdom of mixing hCG and T in the same syringe. As you know, T is in an oil based solution and hCG is mixed with bacteriostatic water. I can't imagine how injecting both simultaneously would be a good idea.

You've probably read here that it's very easy to inject hCG using an insulin syringe. Absolutely painless. Other than that, follow Kel's advice above. Better to inject hCG on the the days you don't inject your T.

Two more questions: I read in one of the forums that the oil and water based products could be pinned at the same time. The syringe would look like a lava lamp is all. So, is that incorrect?

Also and more important is I have been on T. Cypionate 50 mg twice weekly for just over two weeks and I am to start HCG sometime this week. I am a healthy fit 58 with no medical problems. My initial problem was low normal T, below normal free T and normal E levels causing tiredness more than anything with some ED.

I have had slight changes especially in energy levels but really nothing dramatic. However in the past few days I have had significant swelling of the ankles (the pitting edema is about one centimeter) and my nipples are sensitive and easily become erect. They don't hurt, they just feel 'tingley' if that is a word. No lumps. Otherwise I am fine. Well.... my muscles are more achy that I would have thought after my workout and I am more tired again the last few days, but that could be anything including our unusually severe winter weather... it's bad even by our Canadian standards!

I am slated to do my initial blood work at the six week mark, but is it possible that E has jumped high this quickly (2.5 weeks) and should I move up the timing of the blood work? I don't want to do the blood work and waste provincial health money if it is too early to see a change. Should I hold off the HCG until this is sorted out as HCG can increase E even more? None of this is bad, the ankle swelling is just embarrassing as I look like an old man at the gym with my sock marks and the nipple tingling kinda turns me on when the shirt rubs against them ;-)

Sounds like your E2 is high but I would not move up blood work as 6 weeks is on the sooner end. My testosterone levels rose for a good 10 weeks when starting TRT.

When I first started T Cyp injections it was at a mens clinic and they tested every four weeks - like clockwork. IMO, if you'd feel more composed taking labs at four weeks, go for it.

And if a "lava lamp" cocktail of T Cyp and hCG causes no harm, that's good to know. But it is the opinion of many - supported by good data - that it is best to take hCG and T on different days.
