What is the most effective estrogen blocking drug?

Hello everyone, looking for your thoughts on estrogen blocker. First a brief synopses, 40 year old healthy male, 6-3 215 pounds. NO TESTICLES due to cancer. Very active in rugby, skiing, cycling, fitness. good muscle tone. Reasonably good diet- very minimal fast food or junk. light beer drinker. I replace my hormones every monday with 1cc test cypionate injected, and take a cialis 20 every other day. Recent symptoms include increased swelling and joint pain. All blood tests normal and I am energetic otherwise. Should I be managing my estrogen as well as my testosterone ?

Estrogen (E2) is very important to manage on TRT. If high, you can get a script for a Arimidex . If blood work only shows your e2 slightly elevated, I would try injecting every 3.5 days vs the current once per week. This will keep a more stable serum level of test in your system, and being that you are injection less at a time, your E2 will not rise as high. You can also try zinc and dim (natural AI is only slightly elevated).

As for the cialis, I personally would take daily at 10mg. This is the protocol that works best for the majority of us and is based on cialis half life.

Make sure to read the dangers of high Eatrogen in men when you get a moment: http://m.lef.org/magazine/mag2008/no...ng-Male_01.htm

FRDave thank you for the info, I will be sure to read up on the dangers of too much estrogen. I want to avoid just replacing my testosterone and then not managing my ability to use it optimally. Any thoughts on the potential long term effects of TRT as I will be doing this for the rest of my life? I know it can be hard on my liver, effect my bone strength over time.

Bone strength should improve with test, E2 if crashed will effect bone strength negatively. Many important reasons to watch your E2.

Once dialed in, you should be in good health. If you need an AI such as arimidex to control your E2, high doses can effect your lipids, although I have seen no change.

As for your liver, I noticed a slight increase. I started taking 1200mg of NOW branded NAC (cheap on amazon), and my liver values look better now than prior to TRT. I have always been in range though, so I take more as a precaution.

Almost forgot, keep an eye on your RBC, Hemoglobin and Hematocrit levels via a CBC blood panel. If these levels get high (usually only if excess test dosage but it does creep up for some regardless), you will need to donate blood to drop within a safe range.

The $50 female hormone panel from private md labs is a good cheap panel to get every 6 months to keep an eye on things if you don't have insurance.

I take 2.5mg of liquid stane at bedtime. It blows arimidex out of the water. The key is to take tiny doses regularly. Too much stane and estrogen will get too low. Low estrogen is worse than low T
