    HCG managing dosing with Nebido?

Been reading Marcus’s Nebido thread with great interest, I am currently a few weeks into Nebido jab no 4.

32 year old male, low t diagnosed Jan 13, probably caused by finasteride use. UK based.

Wondering if anyone uses HCG in combination with Nebido, I know that Dr Crisler is a big fan claims that it has other benefits other than cosmetic aspects i.e. pregnenolone / dhea and general feeling of wellbeing.

I do feel better on the Nebido and levels are higher than when I tried gels, but I am looking to optimize my treatment and see if I can get some libido back which is still missing!

Any one got any ideas on how to use HCG Nebido. I am thinking the trouble will be that Nebido peeks test / E2 quite high after the jab then slowly comes down.

Thus if I were to use HCG would I need to use more in the last few weeks than the first for example?

Out of interest my results on Nebido have been

2 weeks 4 days after Nebido jab (booster 6 weeks after 1st)
    Test 26.3 nmol/l (8-30)
    E 106 pmol (<161)

5 weeks for 4 days after 2 Nebido jab (booster 6 weeks after 1st)
    Test 16.8 NMOL (8-30)
    E 52 pmol (<161)

A chap on another forum had a test 5 days after a Nebido jab
Test was 50 nmol/l and E2 was over range as well.

This kind of proves my theory that and additional medication is going to be tricky to balance as the levels are not stable week to week like they would be with gels or EOD Test E injections for example.

Does anyone here on Nebido match training cycle to jab i.e. higher volume, slightly higher reps, more calories for the first 6 weeks after jab, then heavy lower volume, maintenance calories during the last 4 – 6 weeks.

A few weeks into Nebido and you've had your 4th injection? usually the booster injection is 4 to 6 weeks post the first one.

Anyway, hCG most certainly has its benefits. It needs to be used at least twice weekly because it's short lived. You'll have to find what dose works for you and use the minimum required to keep the testes full. It may not be a bad idea to increase dose slightly a week or so prior to each injection. But you'll have to be on Nebido for a while and observe serum levels to make a more informed decision.

No sorry I meant that I am a few weeks into jab number 4, not that I have had 4 jabs within 4 weeks! My jabs have been 1, then booster after 6 weeks then about every 8 weeks thereafter (nurse at surgery keeps getting dates wrong )

There aren't many here using Nebido mate but I can tell you what my current plan is. I started on gel and transferred to nebido fairly recently. I starting running HCG just a few weeks before my fist injection. For 3 weeks I injected 500iu's HCG on a M, W and F. These actually overlapped my first injection a little and I then took a week off HCG due to holiday. I then resumed at 250iu's x 2 per week but have dropped that over the last few weeks to 200iu's Tuesday and Friday.

I did notice a little nipple tingling about a week after my booster but only randomly for a few days. In future I will be taking a 2 week hiatus from pinning HCG following nebido injections. But, as Austin says, only bloodwork can really tell you if your e2 levels are high.

My testicles never really shrank in the year I didn't use HCG but they are a little fuller now and definitely have more feeling.

Have you discussed HCG with your endo?

Yes its that 2 week period following the Nebido that I think would be problamatic, my Endo's are a joke see this thread androids.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=172.0

You had it tough buddy. I suffered problems with my GP who wouldn't refer me as I was borderline in terms of test levels although I exhibited a number of symptoms indicative of low test. I started the private route too with Savage. Only after a lot of grumbling did I get an endo referral. Have to say the endo's I saw (even the female) were pretty good. I will be discussing HCG with them in March but highly doubt I will get it prescribed.

Do you have the test levels for your trough tests?

I don't think u will have any joy with the Nhs and hcg unless short term for fertility.

16.8 is the lowest I have had on nebido my gp has got the under the impression that I am NOT allowed to go under 15 nmol. Basically he got the wrong end of the stick when the also clueless Endo sent him a letter. The nurses at the go can't work a calendar my last jab no 4 was only just over 8 weeks after 3 rd when I was there they said right its been 10 weeks rims for your jab, find with me I said! Sad really these people are trusted with people's lives. My pretreatment levels were 7 - 9 nmol

Ps dr savage is great really understands not like most dr's.

A lot of people need a protocol more often than the 12 weeks but if you are good on 8 weeks and then have to wait 10 weeks for your next one at least you'll know what feels right.

I have my NEBIDO shots every 7-10 weeks, depending on how I feel...Probably 8 weeks is more balanced.... At the moment I am doing hcg 300iu every M/w/f...

Still playing with my A1 in line with your logic for example .25 every Tuesday/Thursday for first 4 weeks and then .25 once a week for last 4 weeks..

Interesting that's always going to be the hard part with Nebido, getting the dosage of the other products right across the cycle.

Also need to factor in that Nebido builds in system over time so the dose of hcg / AI that works for the first year may need to be altered in year 2. I guess we also need to factor in how long the AI take to start working and how long they are active for once taken.

It quite hard to work all this out without paying for a lot of private testing which is really expensive in the UK. The NHS only offered minimal testing. Have you had any blood tests done?

Hi Marcus, good of you to chip in, I am trying HCG just to see if I can get my libido back after finasteride. If this does not work might give an AI a try, my E2 is in range but we dont have the sensetive assay in the UK and some Dr like Crisler say that this makes the test invalid (hense I might try a short expirment after hcg)
