LowTestosterone.com - My Blood Work & Protocol
So, I signed up for the LowTestosterone.com program.
My blood work was done last week & visited the nearest Doc. Monday afternoon.
Prescription & accessories are on their way . . . . . . . . .
I thought I would post my blood work / protocol here for your review & thoughts.
I will continue posting on this thread with my thoughts & progress as I make my way through getting things "dialed in".
To start off, here are my personal stats:
Age: 51
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 193 Lbs.
Work out regularly - primarily lifting. Cardio when I want to cut back on the weight some.
I'm in "decent" shape, although I could stand to lose about 8 Lbs. right now to feel I'm at my comfort level.
No significant health issues to speak of, other than cholesterol numbers tend to be borderline most of the time (Hovering around 200, although in my blood work this time they were significantly higher than they've ever been)
Total test number was 389 (348-1197)
Free test was 7.2 (7.2-24.0)
Doc prescribed only Test C @ 100mg 1x / week
Honestly, I was surprised he didn't prescribe HCG .
We'll see how things work out.
The only question I have before beginning is, would you recommend cutting the dose in half and going 50mg 2x / week from the start, or should I just go with the prescribed protocol and see how things go?
I'm not someone that wants to go messing with things too often, But I do know that I would prefer a smoother ride than roller coaster while trying to get dialed in to what works best for me.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing how this all works out!
Below I've posted my blood work for reference.
My thanks to all (in advance) for your guidance & suggestions . . . . . . . .Last edited by Rrexy; 01-22-2014 at 08:56 PM.

Sounds good Rrexy. I also think you should stick with the assigned protocol until your next BW. You may just do great on once per week. If I could, I would. I see no issue with not starting HCG immediately. One thing at a time, imho. Be sure to express your concerns to your doc after the next BW.
Don't see an E2 Sensitive Assay. Be sure you get that with your next draw.
Look forward to following this thread!

Being that you are not primary by the looks of your blood work, you will want HCG for many reasons (see sticky for good info).
With this in mind, the issue I see is that you will not get blood work for 6 weeks which will be useless if you plan to add HCG at that time, as both your test and E2 numbers can and will be different vs just using test alone. Per your contract/agreement, your next set of blood work is at the 6 month mark, no? This is a long time to wait to see what adjustments need made to your protocol, and if you want blood work sooner, you have to pay out of pocket.
With the above in mind, I personally would go discuss the use of HCG and get a script ASAP if you plan to use so you can start your protocol all at once. This will give you a much better chance at dialing in your protocol after your 6 week follow up.
Also, pretty odd to see E2 was not checked which should be checked prior to TRT. I would ask to have it checked prior to starting, and make sure it's included in your follow up labs as you are paying for it and it's a must to dial in your protocol.
Good luck
