    Prescription Question. Please Help

I was diagnosed with low T in Sep 2013. Dr prescribed me 100mg Test Cyp once a week. Rechecked my levels after 6 weeks. Day after injection levels were at 1200. 6 days after injection levels were at 500. Informed Doc that I would be deploying to Afghanistan in late Nov and would not be able to come back state side for AT LEAST 6 months. He gave me a script for 10 cc bottle of 200mg Test Cyp. He instructed me to stay at same dosage of 1/2 cc per week but "see if u think you want to go to 1 full cc per week later". The script says I have a maximum of 5 refills before June.
I took the script to Walmart to be filled. I explained to the Pharmacist that I would be deploying for a MINIMUM of 6 months. She informed me that I could not fill more than 1 10cc bottle at a time but it wouldn't be a problem to have a relative come and pick up a new bottle at any later date. Then the relative could mail to me.
Fast forward 3 months......I decided to start going with 1/2 cc every 4 days and have had great results with the dosage. Very little side effects other than light acne on shoulders.
My problem is that Walmart is refusing to issue my relative a 2nd bottle to mail to me until April stating that "I should have plenty left". Now even if I go back to my original prescribed dose of 1/2 cc every week I will run out before April.
Would greatly appreciate any recommendations that do not involve leaving Afghanistan as that is an absolute last option.

Nothing you can do. Your taking more than subscribed and can not get a refill till your time is up. If I were you, I would do the math to figure out how much you have left and how long before you can refill, then divide that into two weekly doses every 3.5 days. Rather have slightly lower test than to run out and crash.

Think I could check with another pharmacy? Possibly an online pharmacy? I just don't understand why the Dr. would allow 5 refills if there's a rule against filling them???

You can try transferring your script to another pharmacy and see if they will let you fill it. Most will only let you fill one week in advance and base your usage date by the dosage written on script (1/2ml in your case). So even though Dr. said to try 1ml weekly and gave 6 refills, they will only fill based on the 1/2ml weekly as the script was written.

Now that I think of it, tell Dr. you started taking a little more per his suggestion but are having troubles filling script and see if he can call or fax pharmacy a new script.

OP should Google the specific prescribing laws for TRT/Testosterone in your State. Some States allow for larger amounts of Test to be filled for people on TRT and your Doctor & the Pharmacy may not be aware of it. For instance, my State allows 60+ Days of Test to be filled at one time if my Doctor writes a certain Code on the physical script. Just yesterday, I had to make a new Pharmacist @ CVS aware of this law because the idiot was refusing to fill an amount that was over 30 Days worth. Check it out...

Keep in mind the pharmacies are connected electronically so "shopping around" will not work. Call your doc, I'm betting he'll help you.
