    potential law suit?

Let me start by saying I dont plan on suing anyone, Im more just curious if Id have a case.

Im 23 and started TRT last week. Ive tried 2 separate clomid restarts over the last year and neither one has stuck to keep LH/T up. Ive had an MRI to rule out abnormalities. Thyroid/adrenals are good. Body fat % is good. Im healthy in almost every aspect besides T production, which I personally believe is the reason for my mental health problems of the past year.

My doctors think my low T is being caused by depression. I think its the opposite, as I have a good life.

I think my low T is a mix of a few things.

    1. Long time prescription drugs. From ages 12-21 I took a drug called singular for my asthma, as well as advair for my asthma. I also took a drug called hydroxyzine because I had chronic hives if I didnt take it. I've weened off of all of them this year. In high school I was always tired, and I think it was because of the 2 hydroxyzines a night, as they make me super drowsy, I didnt realize it until after I stopped them.

Although Ive never had mental health issues until this past year, Ive always had lower energy for someone my age and could never stay up late in college. Part of it was my personality, part I think was low T looking back. I worked out a lot, but it was always a forced thing. I played sports competitively until age 21.

2.*** From ages 18-22 I ran 3 cycles of pro hormones without proper PCT. One was at 18, when the guy sold it to me despite not being 20 like it says on the counter at the store. I knew NOTHING about the endocrine system, testosterone , LH, all of that stuff until AFTER as I did research based on my symptoms. To me, taking a pro hormone was the same as taking a protein shake. I thought nothing of it, the guy at the store sold them to me like it was no big deal and no risks associated. My doctor doesnt think this is the issue as he doesnt think such short use of prohormones should cause permanent damage. (4 week cycles over the course of 4 years.)

I know its my fault for not doing my research, but at the same time, an 18 year old kid walks into the store and a guy tells him this will help you get stronger with no risks, why would I say no? Again, to me it was like buying protein powder, no big deal. Looking back Im pissed off that this guy took advantage of me and never informed me of what I was doing or how to PCT. Infact, on one of them, he flat out told me the product was so mild that it wont affect my system and I dont need PCT.

Again, I know thats all on me for being an idiot, but do I have any case against this store. It was the same store/guy for all 3 of those cycles. Im not saying Im going to sue, Im not that type of person but Im more just curious if I have a case there. Ill always wonder if I hadnt done pro hormones ever, If my life wouldnt be in this mess that it is now. Unless TRT works for me, my quality of life is zero, and is hard to live. Im being patient with TRT and I hope it works, but looking back Im so pissed at myself/ trusting a guy behind a counter/ the guy playing off prohormones as no big deal when they are.

    What do you guys think?

(Semi-Obvious) Disclaimer: I am no lawyer, but....
I can't imagine that you would have any kind of case with the purchase of OTC products. Without knowing anything about them, you have two choices: the manufacturer or the seller. As for manufacturer, I would imagine they are marked with plenty of "use at your own risk," "must be this tall to ride" type disclaimers on the box. As for the guy in the store, that would turn into a he-said/he-said argument and doubt anyone would be able to prove anything.

I think you're doing the right thing by taking on some of responsibility/blame and working with medical professionals to find a long-term solution.

    Good luck!

Probably the prohormones. My Doc said a growing part of his TRT practice is young men in their 20's that come in having done cycles of prohormones. Screws them up bad...

Because I took an over the counter supplement I had no idea about when I was in my late teens early twenties Im an idiot? I can't understand proper grammar? You know nothing about me, Im a 4.0 student, business owner and I cant keep up with you?

People **** up. Doesnt make me an idiot, naive at the time, yes, but it doesnt make me an idiot. I'd be an idiot if I took them after knowing everything I know now, but I didnt at the time.

I wish I could take it all back. I have to live with the reality that Im the one who probably ruined my own life. I have the same quality of life as a corpse, and I have to walk around knowing I probably did that to myself. You have no idea what its like for every second of every day to feel exactly the same. Nothingness, grey, numb. I hide it, I go about my business, people wouldnt be able to guess, but thats my reality, and because I took some $30 supplements that are LEGAL without proper knowledge, my life is hell.

Actually, corticosteroids are suppressive to the HPTA. So it's anyone's guess how much each hurt him.

Edit: I typed that on my phone while in a hurry. I just went back and checked over the list of meds, and the only corticosteroid there is a small inhaled dose of Fluticasone. So no, those meds aren't responsible for his low test.
