Partial blood work ( need advice )
So I'm 8 weeks into trt and went back to the doc to some blood tests and see how everything h is going.
When I went back for the results I see it was just a partial hormone panel. (Ill list them). AnywAys I like him as a doctor but just don't feel he knows enough about trt. I'm going to stick with him but will get my own blood tests done and come on here for advice.
I'm not going to list all the numbers before but I'll list some before. Goes as follows
T3 total 151. Ref range 60-200
Tsh 1.590. Ref 0.270-4.200
Throxine free 1.25. Ref 0.80-2.30
Testosterone 220.1. Ref range 260-1100
Those were before I know I didn't get all the stuff I should have but that's what I got.
8 weeks in protocol. 160mgs of cyponate every week. I split into 2. 80 mgs every 3.5 days. Hcg 250ius every 3 days. No ai. As I wanted to get bloods back to see.
After numbers (this is all he tested)
Test 948.9. Ref range 260-1100
Estradiol. 82.0. Ref range 5-45. Really high
LH serum. 0.1. Ref range 1.8-8.6. Really low
Prolactin. 7.8. Ref range 4-15.2
Cortisol pm. 7.9. Ref range 2.0-9.0
Those are it guys. Next time I'll get more tests. I'm going to have to do this the hard way. I don't want to lose the guy as my endo. Just going to have to have the experts from this board help me out.
Also I have liquidex on hand. And as my endo didn't perceive hcg I had to get that on my own also.
My doc said. We'll my testosterone is high, he'd like to see it around 500 (really ref range of 150-1100). He said that will bring down my estrogen.
As you guys can see I'm a little frustrated.
Thanks for any advice given

You need free T numbers. Total testosterone isn't enough to base protocol changes off of. What good is testosterone if most of it is bound? But most importantly, it's about how you feel, not just what the numbers say. Emphasize to your doc that you don't care what your T level is whether it's 400 or 1000, you just want to feel better. Your relieving symptoms, not chasing numbers.

Good BW is in the Finding A Doc Sticky.
Proper E Sensitive Test at Labcorp is: E Sensitive 140244. CPT Code 82670
Need to see Free Test to properly evaluate.
I'd consider slightly reducing the dose and possibly lose one HCG shot. Would help.
Express your concerns and let him know you're not a number.

Thanks for the info.
Also what does low Lh serum. Mean. Just curios. I'm going to research for a different doctor. One that is more experienced in trt. Might have to give low t a shot. It's just hard to find time to travel. But it's my health so it's worth it.

LH and FSH are produced by your pituitary and signal your testies to produce testosterone and sperm. They bottom out when on exogenous T as your pituitary senses there's no need to produce them. It's normal in other words.
