starting my trt today, question about injecting
I'm with low t, so they sent me a box full of syringes and needles.
My question, does every one change tips after drawling from the vial? Does anyone use the same tip? Is it necessary? Im dosing hcg on the same day, so I'd be going through 8 needles a week. Just seems kinda wasteful, but ive never injected anything by myself before so I'm not sure if blunting the needle from the vial is actually true,

I draw with one, inject with the other (test) and do HCG IM, I just mix it with my test.
Draw test (22gauge) draw HCG (22gauge) pull in some air, swap to another 22gauge (or 25 gauge depending on amount), push the air out, warm it up, inject, repeat a total of 2X per week.
You've never injected, you should probably have someone teach you. It's not hard but there are good spots, bad spots, you need to aspirate .

Yeah, I'm reading the destructions now. Amazing how many questions I could have answered by doing that first

And all I got were 25g. Guess I'll just have to be patient. I may wait a few weeks before mixing the test and hcg in one syringe. I got separate 30g subq syringes for the hcg

Good tip (pun intended)

I use the same tip to draw as inject. Been doing it for 15yrs without a single issue or problem.

Yes, order 18 gauge for draw and 23 gauge for pin. I do HCG sub Q.

Went through with it. .25ml test im in the glute, had the gf do that for me. Pretty painless honestly, I'll be able to do it no problem. After that I decided I'd do the hcg on my own. Sub q in the belly 350iu. I flinched a little and actually pulled the needle out. The 2nd stick was obviously duller, hurt a bit more but was easier.
All in all not bad. I'm a lifer now. Looking forward to some positive changes

And, drawing and injecting didn't take that long at all. Only .25 ml. I'll probably stick with the 25g. And since they don't cost more if I need more, I'll continue to change after the draw.

I have drawn/injected with the same needle and sometimes it's ok, on the larger needles sometimes it makes like a "barb" and will hook some skin when I remove the needle so I always switch tips.
There is no hard and fast rule, you can draw and inject with a 27 gauge if your patient enough (I've done it) or 18 gauge if your manly and think scars are cool.
When I'm on a blast I do my HCG sub q, when I'm on my TRT cruise I mix it, allows it to flow though a smaller gauge needle with very little effort (I also will cut it with B12 sometimes).
Oh yea, virgin muscle, you will get PIP, in time it will lessen.
I recommend shooting your quad, you don't want to be dependent on ANYONE for your TRT

Good idea. I didn't notice any sting but then again it could be the reason I flinched.
Gsx no pip at all. I can't even find the spots from the injections. I decided to let her do the first, and probably the 2nd just so I can get used to the needle. After that I plan on doing it myself, likely in the quads.

We stopped sending draw needles about a month ago or so for a very simple reason. A lot of the guys were running out of testosterone early, anywhere from 2-6wks and by a lot I actually do mean a lot. The excuse was always one of two things:
1. There's a lot of waste when you switch needles and even more when you're splitting your dose into 2 injections per week.
2. The pharmacy isn't sending the right amount.
Well number two on that list isn't possible as much as some would love to believe it is. Any time a batch of testosterone is made, randomly bottles are measured. So, remove the draw needle and remove the idea of waste. If you went to the doctor and had the injection done there, nine times out of ten it would be done without a draw needle.

I find that a bit strange when the vids that are posted on this site show a draw and a pin needle. So is it really that much waste changing needles even when you draw the liquid back in the syringe before changing it? Running out six weeks early equals a lot of waste.

It can be around a 10th of an ml per injection in terms of waste. That's 0.20ml per week if you're injecting 2x/wk. If you're injecting a total of 100mg/wk or 50mg/2x/wk, that turns into a massive amount of waste. Should you be losing that much? No, only if you're being careless and not paying attention to what you're doing. And here's another little bit of info, Empower fills each 10ml bottle with 11.5ml to account for waste. Started doing so several months ago and still people ran out early. So what's the moral of the story? Most are lying and taking more than they're supposed to
BTW, the videos have been redone. Were redone awhile ago.

Yeah I was thinking somewhere down that route. I've been using two needles and haven't come up short yet. However I am going to start doing sub Q for E2 control but also to get as much of that magical ester as I can without waste. I was just waiting to do my latest BW as to get a clear gauge as to what's going on. Thanks low t.

Well, my second injection was last night. Sub q hcg was easy. The test, I decided to try the same needle. This was my first quad inject and first test self inject.
Let me tell you. . It hurt!
Needle wouldn't Pierce the skin. Not entirely sure that it's because it was blunted or not, but I changed tips and it darted right in. I'll prob change tips from now on

I may just do that. My quad injection was Monday and the muscle is still sore at the injection site. My sub q injections, I can't even tell where I stuck myself a minute later

Hey hawk14dl, you'll get used to doing the injections yourself. I'm new to administering the injections myself. But I learned how to pin in my glute and it's pretty painless and easy. After the first one it was smooth sailing after that. For me the glute is the easiest muscle to completely relax. I just shift all my weight on the opposite leg so when I pin to the other is super relaxed and I don't feel a thing.

Yeah, today was my second set of injections entirely by myself. It's funny, first time took like 45 minutes. This time, about 3. lol

Use a draw needle and a pin needle, period. And using a draw needle does NOT waste test if it is not 18 gauge or something absurd which nobody should be using anyways. Let me illustrate.
Using the volume of the inside of the needle , a 22 gauge needle has a maximum storage capacity of 0.0136 ml and a 25 gauge needle has a capacity of 0.00539 ml. So as you can see, we are talking about 0.00821 ml of testosterone for each injection. When you multiply that by 20 injects, that is 0.1642 ml of test for an entire 5 ml vial that you are using assuming 50 mg each injection and 200 mg/ml. So that comes out to roughly '33 mg' of 'extra' testosterone that you are injecting over the course of 10 weeks. Plus this also assumes that the needle is completely filled every time you pull the draw needle out of the vial, which is most likely not the case but is only used as a "worst case" approximation.

By reading the boards I've picked up few tricks that make everything virtually painless. I'd use a heating pad for a minute or two to warm up the area before a shot. Also, afterwards, I'll use a foam roller to roll out the area. Since I started doing that I've never been sore at the site of injections. Rolling out with a foam roller is great regardless of anything else. It's like a free massage. lol
