    very bad ED on TRT

    Hello guys

I posted my first thread last night in the PCT forum - title: "PCT for TRT Help" I got a very good response from a member. But your welcome to chime in.

I started TRT for and in this order:
    ED
    Depression
    Fatigue

Tested Low free & high SHBG

    Pre TRT Blood work

    Free T 1.05 low Normal 1.50-4.20
Sex Horm binding Glob 61.6 High Normal 16.5-55.9
    Test 469

All this was in normal range
    TSH
    Thyroxine
    T3
    Free Thyroxine
    insulin growth factor
    LH
    FSH
    Prolactin
    DHEA

I was asked by DR. If I used steroids at any time in my life. No, I have not.
I was put on test cypionate and HCG . At the time I did not truly understand TRT
I am learning but I still have lots to learn.

As you can see from the other post in PCT forum I am going to try to go off TRT
    and see what happens.

I could never get a definitive answer as to why my Free T is Low and SHBG is high.
I have been a heavy drinker in the past, other wise healthy. 44 years old I would say this slowly started
4 years ago and got worse in the last year.

I have been on TRT for 10 months- one of my reasons for trying to stop is ED while on TRT.
The first month on TRT was bad, then we upped the dose from .5-1.0. Things got better but not great.
We upped it again to 1.5. and after a while things got better, not perfect but good. I would say this lasted for 6 months. I do blood work every 3 months. Then ED set in BIG TIME I have had major ED problems for last two months while on TRT.

My levels were a bit elevated at last blood work but nothing to alarming, estrogen was in range. I was thinking estrogen was high to cause this, and we did more blood work (should be in this week-I will post new blood work). But I did cut back form 1.5 to .5 injections in hopes this would lower things and get rid of my ED. No go-ED still kicking Big time!!!!

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Just as I posted this Dr. Called - I do not have a copy yet, but all my blood work came back fine. All levels are in range. Why sudden ED problems? Its like 5-7 weeks ago someone walked up and hit a switch. - OFF!!!

I'm not familiar with your history or who your doctor is, but just a word of caution when a doctor says your levels are in "range". Exactly what "range" is he/she using? Have you discussed where YOU want to be with them? Also, moving hormone levels around always causes issues...

You say your E2 is in range, but what is it?

For example...on a sensitive E2 test with a range up to 70, I was at 50 & had a bunch of symptoms including below normal Libido with a harder time gettin the job done...did not feel good in general either. Just a thought.

Yes, you guys have a good point.
Roxer- "where YOU want to be with them" I want to be hard as a rock! like I was from age 14-35ish. LOL

So 64509 you do better at under 50 on E2

Dr. did say some people have a greater "window" that things can move up and down without any issues. It was suggested I had a smaller window, that my body liked to be at a tighter more specific range. That maybe a smaller fluctuations affected me more.

I will get a copy and post- intact I'm getting a copy of all y blood work done to date, I need to be more involved-

I know general conciseness says E2 should be somewhere between 20 and 30. That doesn't mean you would not operate just fine outside of that range, some people do. I am the same as you - higher levels for me meant normal libido with the frustration of the member needing to do the work not comprehending.

Numbers "in range" makes no difference. You want optimal range for you. Having been a heavy drinker, I bet your E2 is up. Could also be the reason your SHBG is high.

Post up your bloods so we can help.

By the way, daily cialis 5-10mg = rock hard. But I would take it after you've already alleviated the ED just to top you off.

All good points! Bottom line is the folks here need to see the blood work. Based on that & how you feel, the vets can offer you their suggestions on where to go from there. I wouldn't go changing much until then.

^^^ you need to post your complete bloods as well as your protocol. It sounds as your E2 is high.
