    Absorption of sub-q T question

A question for the vets - maybe FR Dave - just got my latest blood test results today. Have been injecting 75mg/wk T enanthate (2 x 37.5) into the glutes sub-q. Total and free T are down 15% from the last blood test. Total is 650 ng/dl and free T is 406pmol/L (range 500 - 750). Previous to this last test, I was doing half into a love handle and half into opposite glute. Went to glutes only as I don't have much fat on the sides and it needs more than a week to recover from soreness. It seems to me that absorption/ recovery is better in the love handles - does this make sense?
Another observation I have made is that T propionate at 75gm/wk (22mg eod) had my T levels at twice what they are now - 1300ng/dl vs 650ng/dl now. (was using prop as the compounding pharmacy did not have cyp or T/E). But the prop caused big red itchy lumps, even in the glutes, so I had to drop it.

I am think to increase T enanthate by 15% as the free is a bit below the ideal range. If prop had no reaction, I'd go back to it.

    Thoughts or comments please?? JH.

So what numbers are you trying to hit with T/Free T? It takes a little longer for sub-q T injections to hit their norm, at least it did for me. Maybe take it up 5mg to 80mg (40mg x2wk) and see where you land. 1300ng/dl is above the level of doing TRT in my opinion. Others may disagree.

I would like to be stable on 750ng/dl total (26nmol/l) and 500pmol/l free T (ideal range 500 - 750). I have been on trt for almost a year now. The variability seems to revolve around injection sites and the ester type.
I have wondered if T prop with a castor oil benzyl benzoate carrier could be better.

FRDave turned me on to injections into the fat at the glutes and love handles. Has worked great so far. Test in the glutes and HCG in the LH. I did try the lower stomach area, but didn't get as good results. This with Test E and C. Maybe you should give that a try?

When are you getting these labs drawn? That is probably responsible for the difference.
