    1 Year a Slave, Jomamma007's HRT Exit

After coming up with an exit/restart strategy with Kel I thought I'd log it for anyone interested.
Especially considering every other day we have another guy in his early, mid twenties on here with low testosterone contemplating HRT.

    Stats

    22 Years old
    5'11
    190lbs
    13-15% Body Fat
    1 year on TRT
Believe the reason for my Low Test was improper pct following a few cycles @ 21 years old.
With no thyroid issues, or sleep apnea, I feel there is no need for me to be on HRT for the rest of my life at such a young age.

    Protocol
1000iu hcg EoD alongside .25mg arimidex
    blood work after 3 weeks

if test level 500+ continue to serms
if not run for another 3 weeks

    clomid 50/50/50/50
    nolva 40/20/20/20/20/20

    Blood work after stopping clomid
then again 8 weeks after stopping clomid.

    Daily Supplements
    50mg Dhea and Pregnenolone
    10k Vitamin D3
    30mg Zinc
    Multi-vitamin.

    Goal,
To achieve and maintain a reasonable testosterone level, 5-600 would be ideal.
I plan to get serious about dieting and working out as well. Losing body fat and pushing some decent weight in the gym, coupled with healthy eating and life style can only help.
If everything goes according to plan I should finish just in time for Summer.

Last Testosterone Cypionate shot was 3/1/14, 80mgs.

Will take my first 1000iu HCG shot and arimidex today 3/7/14, and begin the exit strategy.

You and Kel worked out a solid strategy.

If you were cycling and or taking pro hormones there are a lot of issues that could have contributed to low t. good luck

Can you update us with moods and things as well, maybe every couple of days?

I know your about 7 years younger than me, with me being only 29. My primary referred me to a Endo over a urologist for my TRT. She is thinking about trying to do a natural restart after being on TRT for 7 months. I am wanting to have another child here in about a year so even if the restart doesn't work, I guess I will be coming off for 6-9 months to recovery and hope for a child.

We may also do a sperm count while I go in as well to see where I am at now.

I will keep this updated daily if I can.

What is your reason for getting off trt at 29? Not just to have a kid right?

Took my first 1000iu injection along side my arimidex dosage.

Libido was going crazy for a few hours, not sure if it's from the hcg or because I started cialis again yesterday so I don't experience any issues throughout this process.
Other then that don't feel much, probably because it's only been 6 days since last injection.

Thanks for posting your journey it will help alot of us. Can I ask you some questions? Im 23 on TRT, but my goal was to see if it could cure my symptoms and if not go back to clomid, or try a restart.

    1. If I have tried 2 seperate clomid restarts(1 was 4 weeks of 50mg ed, 1 was 10 weeks of 25mg eod) and they didnt work, does that mean I shouldnt try another restart again?

    2. Is this doctor prescribed or are you doing this on your own?

    3. How long will this restart go for?

I will probably end of trying this at some point too, I will follow your progress.

Wish I could answer this for you. The thing about restarts is sometimes you can do it in one, sometimes it takes 3 or 4 and sometimes you'll never fully restore your hpta. You could attempt a stronger restart, with hcg clomid and nolvadex and see how this does for you. If you feel good right now on TRT then you might just want to try a heavy restart and if that doesn't pan out, stay on it. The main reason I'm getting off is because I never felt quite right on TRT.
    2. Is this doctor prescribed or are you doing this on your own?
Doctor isn't helping but all my meds are pharma grade.
    3. How long will this restart go for?
3-6 weeks of HCG, 6 weeks of nolva and clomid, might continue low dose ai a few weeks after. 9-12 weeks, depending on blood work.
I will probably end of trying this at some point too, I will follow your progress.
    Good Luck!

    Jo,
I wanted to wish you well also. I hope you make it. And even if you are able to go natural and leave TRT, I hope you'll continue to contribute here.

I think I can speak for all of us that your thoughtful comments and input have been extremely useful - and we've all learned from you. I respect your knowledge a very great deal and I personally feel you have been a very valuable member of this community. I thank you.

Thanks 2Sox, I know very little in this field but I try to contribute the basics taught to me where I can and will continue too regardless of the outcome of my exit.

My balls are aching today after my first HCG shot yesterday, hopefully that's a good sign.
Had a good workout and am feeling great, but it's too soon to judge.

Glad to hear it. And I understand your point. I don't think anyone here would call themselves an expert - just people with greater or lesser degrees of knowledge, all learning and trying to be useful to others the best way they can.

Took my 2nd HCG injection today along side arimidex .

My last testosterone injection definitely half lifved by now, and the arimiedx is kicking in.
I can feel the low estrogen in my joints.

I've dropped a few pounds of water from having lower estrogen which is cool. Some abs popped up overnight.

My sleep is crap and I've have some insomnia though this weekend.

Workouts are still good, surprising, and mood is very logical and positive.

Erections are around 70% with cialis and libido is on and off.

Overall I'm feeling pretty dam good, if I tested my levels like I did last time a week after injection when they were 349( and that was from 100mgs injection, last injection was 8 days ago and was only 80mgs) I'd probably be in the 300's.

So all in all things are better then before I started this restart even though i know there is still exogenous testosterone flowing through me. People usually say what 3-4 weeks after your last pin is when you start to feel like crap, so we'll see.

Sadly, I think restarts work for people who have working parts. Can't restart something that's broke.

Joe, do you have any anxiety coming on? I noticed with low T my depression and anxiety ruined everything for me. The days I was up I could still go to the gym and feel great. The weeks I was down I couldn't think of exercising. Since your that young hopefully it works for you bud

Mainly for the child if we decide to have another. I am doing HCG 300 x2 a week right now. However my Dr isn't going to renew my script so I am looking for a new Dr since I switched due to some insurance and not a fan of this new guy at all. I dont mind the once a week shots for now, and I do feel a lot better. My attitude is better for the most, I noticed I am a bit more stern with everyone and less BS which I like.

I can't imagine giving myself a shot when I am like 60 though, and I am kind of fearful that if I did TRT until I was like 55 or something that I would be totally shut down and my Test level would be 0 when I came off at that age? Or maybe at that age I will actually still be fully functional cause I am still on TRT and not just old and worn out.

Why not? That's lame. Why eve prescribe then! Hey wizard do you notice a jump in your testosterone when use hcg? If so you are in good shape for kids. I read a couple members had kids while on trt with hcg

Old and worn out? I never heard such horse shit. Watch your mouth youngster. I'm 66 and you ought to see the shape I'm in. And I don't even try hard.

Here's a flash: If you are on TRT, you ARE totally shut down NOW. It's for life. I hope you're aware of that. So you either deal with the shots, or slap on a gel everyday (which would inevitably expose your wife and children - and cost you a GREAT deal more each month) or stop altogether and go back to feeling like crap. Of course, you're free to make any choice you want.

Feeling pretty good, tired on and off, not sure if it's from giving up caffeine or test.
    Probably a combination of both.

    Sleeping a lot.
Been feeling very horny and pain in my testes the day after hcg shot consistently. Can't be coincidence.

Upped arimidex to .5mgs as the slight gyno I have on one nip is being aggravated from the high hcg dose.
Almost two weeks since last pin and still feeling pretty dam good.
My anxiety has actually gone down, but I attribute that to stopping caffeine.

Will probably get some blood work next week to see if the hcg is doing anything.

honestly IMO. stop with this restart bolony, you made a lifetime commitment now stick to it and get dialed in, it is not that difficult, do you really want to fight with declining testosterone levels for the rest of your life just to say I dont have to stick a needle in my ass once a week, you should revel in that bro

As Kel stated I'm 22. Without any health condition other then previous AAS usage, there is no medical reason for me to be on it or not attempt a restart.
Not only that, but I never felt right on trt, that is the main reason I'm getting off.

To be honest I feel better these last 2 weeks since my last pin then I have my whole year on hrt.
I believe for some reason my body just doesn't sit well with higher test levels as I've never had them.

I seem to only feel good with a 5-600 test level which is where I was naturally at during my highest testing.
There are too many ups and downs for me and I feel like there is no reason I wouldn't be able to recover, I was running months and months of high test and tren and still had a 571 Total T 2 months after pct, I just didn't control my SHBG and was left with little free test. This time I wont make that mistake.

No offense, but you're basic knowledge here is severely lacking. One never begins TRT with the thought process of coming off it one day...

I definitely am feeling the fatigue today.
Dropped 3 lbs out of nowhere, and my muscles are deflated and weak at the gym.
I see no point in lifting until I start clomid and nolva
Next 2 weeks will take off from the gym and stimulants, haven't rested in forever anyways.

I get free blood work at my moms hospital so I might get some for shit's and giggles today.

I have no scientific data for my up coming comment but, my test level had risen to about 300 ish while I was training and dieting hard about a year and a half back. If you have to drop some weight drop it but keep at it. You may not feel like it now but once the blood is pumping, you'll feel better. Good luck bro.

I have similar time on TRT and somewhat similar PCT, Im 2 weeks into PCT. I am much older. Hope it goes well for you!
As some have said "TRT is for life" I get this. I wish my DR. had told me this and that I had done more research and asked more questions before starting.

But it is what it is, and like you I am going to roll the dice and see how it goes.
24 days off TRT and 2 weeks into PCT and for all practical prepossess l feel fine, except for major ED! But I had ED while on TRT for the last part of it.
I would say 8 good months on TRT 3 bad on TRT with ED……..

Good luck, and again I hope it goes well for you!

Hey Jomamma. When you say you will control shbg this time, what is your plan? Take an AI? Im curious because for me every time I tried to restart with clomid, my total T would be fine, but shbg would be too high for the T to make a difference. But I never used an AI. How else can you control SHBG? Im 23 on TRT but will try a restart at some point.

Im 24 and have been on for a little over a year, and its been a life saver, and something I would die for in order to keep, but sounds like your body does not like higher T levels, we are all different, you are talking to someone that gets 900+ levels on just 100 mg a week, most likely due to the fact that my shbg is low-normal

Not sure if shbg has anything to do with how much Total T you get from injecting. Interesting.
I had around a 970 Total T on 100mgs per week, and still never felt good. Only till I lowered my dosage did I start to feel better.
Glad it's working for you though, I just don't feel like I need it yet.

How else can you control SHBG? Im 23 on TRT but will try a restart at some point.
Yes taking arimidex and letro throughout , mainly the HCG blast which I didn't do last time (which I believe was the cause for the elevated SHBG). I've heard of guys using an ai with clomid to avoid sides and having smooth recoveries. Again everyone's different.

Take some cialis from the site sponsor to minimize ED. 5-10mgs daily.

So far on my trt I feel good in a almost every way except some ED also. I finally got my Doc to check free t in up coming BW, (tomorrow), I either have an E2 problem, high SHBG or both. My Doc as it turns out is ok but I've picked up more on this site which in turn helps me. I'm going to go the liquid CIA route but only after I get my t and free t in order.

Blood work after 1 week on HCG , 2 weeks off test. Still to early to be of any relevance.

    3/14/14

    Testosterone , Serum 529 348-1197 ng/dL SO
    LH <0.2 LOW 1.7-8.6 mIU/mL SO
    FSH <0.2 LOW 1.5-12.4 mIU/mL SO
    Estradiol 14.6 7.6-42.6 pg/mL SO

Kinda think it's weird that my test is so high two weeks after an 80mg injection. I've tested my levels twice before a week after an injection and they were low 300's and that was on 100mgs. So I'd say the HCG is working, but since the test is still in me the boys aren't quite ready to fire.
Be interesting to see what the next one says in two weeks after my last HCG shot.

still have another 2 weeks left of hcg but decided since I have more clomid and nolva then I thought, that'd extend the duration by 2 weeks of each.
I don't see how it could hurt, unless I'm missing something.

    Clomid
    100/50/50/50/50/50
    Nolva
    40/20/20/20/20/20/20/20

Hcg alone can bump you up a couple hundred, if you weren't using that you would be low. Your lh and fh are showing nothing happening at all. If you stopped everything you would probably crash. I could be wrong too joey, but if your FH and LH that low its pointless. You can probably drop the AI too, either your crushing it or not making it all. Estradiol comes in higher too so in actuality your really low. Arimidex is way to strong. I can't see your estrogen going crazy as a slim 24 year old male anyway.

lh and fsh levels don't mean much yet as there's till exogenous test in me. I guarantee they'll skyrocket on SERMS.
Whether they hold or not is the question.
