Trouble understanding blood work Free Testosterone?
Im looking at two Blood tests that have total and free T. Im am having trouble comparing the two Free T readings
Test one
Total T=569 ng/dl range 250-1100 ng/dl
Free T + 117.4pg/ml range 35.0-155.0 pg/ml
Test 2- (2 months later)
Total T= 469 ng/dl range 348-1197 ng/dl
Free T = 4.92 range 5-21.00 ng/dl
How do the 2 Free testosterone compare? one is ng/dl the other is pg/ml
Thanks

The difference is a factor of 10 (Since 1pg = 1000 ng, and 1dl = 100ml). So 117pg/ml = 11.7 ng/dl. Your free T dropped in half between the first and second test.

I get it, thanks
Yes-strange because test one I was not treating my body that well. Then for two + months I ate right, ran and worked out every day, no Alcohol and tested again as you said in 2 months it dropped in half?
Very Strange, I was not on any medication.
11.7 Is a good free T number-right?
4.92 on test two----- not good

Kelkel
Thats the strange thing-NO
In the Time between the two tests I started eating right and exercising. I added BCC and Amino Acids protein powder and thats it. No medications.
I was surprised that total and free did not go up after 10 weeks of living good.
