    Self Bleeding not working!

My hemato level has been at 58.6 for a long time and I'm finally ready to self bleed. I watch Bass's video, and rigged a system that's the same (different tourniquet) but that's it. No luck. My needle is fat enough and everything else I think is right. I even tried filling the water bottle with water, then setting it in the tub and poking a hole in the bottom of the water bottle so the pressure would force blood to flow into the bottle. Didn't work. All in all I tried 4 times to no avail. I need some help with my method!!

Also, just incase you're wondering, my dr. is willing to write script for blood letting but I'm at school and can't get it done around here.

    Thank you

I wish I could just find a pint-sized syringe! Now that would be easy.

I've actually seen 2litre syringes - which is a bit over 4 pints. LOL

Are you not getting any blood to come out?

Holy crap two litre syringe? For cows or something? haha.

Correct, I'm getting just enough blood to come out to fill the tube that connects the needle to the bottle, but that's it. Nothing happens and it's so irritating. I try tightening my make-shift tourniquet even more and nothing happens. I flex my arm and make a fist and nothing happens.

Is it safe to try to use pressure to pull the blood from the arm, like by draining water out of the bottle, or using a giant syringe if I can find one?

Also, I just bought a manual blood pressure monitor so I'll have that to use as a tourniquet instead of a cell phone charger chord.

get with Bass. He self bleeds, even created a video for us on how to do it. He uses I believe an 18ga tip, fills up a water bottle, and dumps the blood in the toilet when through.
