    blood results since stopping trt

Been on trt for 3 years . Im hypogonadal my testicles dont work. Was prescribed 1ml sustanon 250 every 3 weeks bloods typically look like this whilst on trt

    testosterone 18.8 nmol/l (10-37) lh 0.1 (1.0-8.0) fsh 0.3 (1.0-11)

I stopped trt 14 weeks ago bloods look like this

    3 weeks after last shot testosterone 10.0 nmol/l lh 0.1 (1.0-8.0) fsh 0.3 (1.0-11)

    7 weeks after last shot testosterone 8.6 nmol/l lh 0.1 (1.0-8.0) fsh 0.3 (1.0-11)

    10 weeks after last shot testosterone 6.8 nmol/l lh 0.1 (1.0-8.0) fsh 0.3 (1.0-11)

    14 weeks after last shot testosterone 3.4 nmol/l lh 0.8 (0.8-8.0) fsh 4.0 (1.0-11)

Yep still suppressed and you'll likely only return to pre-TRT levels (if) lucky. Why stop?

No never donated blood while on trt even though my haemaglobin and hematocrit levels were above range . I had regular blood tests every 3 months which all showed haemaglobin and hematocrit above range , mu doctor or endo never mentioned them to me . I did my own research and demanded my doctor to refer me to a heamatologist who immediately put me on asprin and started venections.

Find a new doctor. You should go punch your old doctor in the face as he is clueless. The original protocol is horrible as was his subsequent care of you which was extremely careless and hazardous to your health.

    Look up Polycythemia.

To be fair most doctors dont know anything about trt thats why he referred me to an endo , The endo is most to blame as he was prescribing me the trt he should know the side effects , secondary polycythemia being the most common .
They just dont care.I did all my own research and paid privately to see a haematologist who told me the blood levels should have never been let to get that high .

This is a quote from an earlier post of mine

    have been on trt for the last 3 years , i have regular blood tests i got some back last week ;

    Haemoglobin 19.8 (13-18 g/L)

Packed cell volume which is Hematocrit 0.605 (0.40-0.50)

Was urgently referred to see a haematolgist (blood specialist) , i went to see one privately he told me my blood was very thick and i was at high risk of having a stroke had to give a pint of blood there and then and have to go back in 10 days to give some more, i was prescribed asprin and told to stop trt .

Well, if you need TRT you need it. It just has to be a properly administered and monitored protocol.

The title Endo does not indicate hormone specialist either. It just has to be a doc, any doc, that understands hormones. Sometimes it's tough to find!

Good luck with all this vinny and let us know how you make out.

Surely if a specialist is prescribing a drug he should know the side effects .
All endos know the cut off point for hematocrit levels he has just let mine go over without doing anything about it !

You would think they do. Unfortunately many do not. Like all professions there are good and bad.
Ignoring such a potential problem (hema) is abhorrent.
