    Clicking sound

When I remove the needle after an IM injection it always clicks as it pulls out of the muscle.

My injection sites are always painful for 2-4 days and bruise, is any of this normal or explainable?

I rotate glutes and thighs , this is occurring when I do my thighs. Couple other things, I've yet to work up the nerve to dart the needle in so my inserting of the needle process is very slow..
When I remove the needle it feels like the muscle has moved and the needle is coming out under tension but I insert straight in. Very odd and painful for days

I don't dart the needle in, never have. For 15yrs I've just been sliding them in. I also don't relax the injection site like most people do, I prefer to squeeze it, makes it easier just to slide the needle in. The sound you're referring to, I've always described it as crunchy, but clicking works too. However, this is usually due to going through scar tissue due to lots of prior injections in that area.

Also, thighs, and I know a lot of guys that would say the same...I cannot inject my thighs with anything. It's excruciating so I've always avoided that area.

21 G, same needle to draw and inject.

Going to try to use 2 tomorrow so I can reuse my draw needle to re inject the extra "waste" back into the vile

Yes, crunchy is a very good word to describe the sound. I'm happy it's not just me! Very painful, yes! Now it's so new and my gains are so great I would prolly inject in my eye if I had too, over time I'm sure that will change. Thanks for the comment

You might also consider using a 25 gauge needle to inject with. I have used 21 gauge and 25 gauge and the 25 definitely feels more comfortable.

I'll join the 'no thigh injections' club.

I wiggle mine in. no pain. I use a 22ga. always in the glute. the only time I sometimes get pain, is if I don't let the alcohol dry all the way, and sometimes when injecting, I think maybe I'm bringing in some of the alcohol.

by the way, I use an atomizer (small squirt bottle) to apply the alcohol. better than wipes, and no resulting trash to throw away.

the reality is, some people are not bothered by pain as much as some others. For me, needles do not bother me 99% of the time. I was having surgery in the hospital not too long ago, and had an IV in my left arm. The nurse wasn't really connecting the rig correctly, and she ended up ripping the needle out of my arm and tearing my vein. bloody mess. woman turned white as a ghost. I was ok with it once the nurse cleaned up the mess.

So PIP really, to a certain extent, is a big deal for some individuals and not others. Regardless the gauge needle, technique, or injection site.

    Make sense?

I am with Times Roman on this one. Injecting has never bothered me, the only time I feel any pain is when the alcohol hasn't dried yet. When I changed from topicals to injections I was injecting with 22G 1.5" since that's what the pharmacy gave me. I now use 25G 1" (quads, delts & glutes) & I couldn't feel a difference. I have worked with a few medics over the years that can start 14 gauge lines on trauma patients all shift long, but when they get BW done at the annual physical they come close to passing out.

Take your time, be as sterile as you can & you'll be fine.

Injected this morning with a different needle than my draw needle and it slid in like butter!

My pain comes the next day along with bruising. Was worried the clicking was due to muscle shifting it something. In fact when I let go of the needle to pull back and check for blood the needle pulls over to a 45 degree angle which is weird cause I inject at 90.

Are you relaxing the muscle while you inject?

yeah, using the same needle I'm sure is a big part of your problem...as others stated you might wanna try a smaller gauge. I've been using a 25 which is fine, but I used a 23 today and couldn't feel a thing. I inject in the quad and don't have any issues, except when i hit a nerve a couple weeks ago and my leg literally jumped off the floor.

I had the same issue with my first batch of Cyp. didnt matter what I did: glute, thigh, guage, speed...ALWAYS hurt like hell 2 days later. I just lived with it. When that batch ran out, the second batch which was from a different source barely hurt at all, same needles and same technique. It had to be something in the oil I guess.

Yes, wondering if due to my slow insertion process I'm tensing up without realizing it though.

Wanting to dart in but just can't do it yet, it's a mental thing I guess. I start to and then stop right before my skin. Ha not a stabbing kind of guy I guess.
