can some1 compare
Just jumped through all the hoops with my primary care provider to get on trt regimen. Im a little disappointed. Her goal is to keep me btween 300-400. She prescribed 150mg every 2 weeks. No hcg . Injections done in office.
Does this seem conservative and old school? I have been reading about spreading out injections to avoid spikes and always use hcg. Anyone have in opinion?

Opinion. Yes, find another doctor as this one is wasting your time and will make you feel like crap. She does not even understand the half-life of testosterone , which is 5-7 days metabolism dependent. Yes, you should be on HCG as you know. And why on earth is her goal 300-400? What was your level pre TRT?
It's not "conservative and old school." It uneducated and horrible. Either find another doctor or consider LowTestosterone.com - $199 All-Included Testosterone Treatment for all inclusive treatment.
Yes, twice WEEKLY injections are a way to minimize E2 spikes and maintain more stable serum levels.

I felt like from beginning my dr was going to do this. Blows that I just found out she has another title, chief. My test was 183 then 229 on second test.
I havent thrown her under the bus yet as I just let her speak her part right now. It was a phone call. I wanted to bounce her treatment off the board before I asked my questions.
If she stands firm on her position im probably going to have yo go outside my insurance. That is going to really piss me off.
I havent looked at low test.com do u know if it is just a straight forward 199

Tell your doctor to throw away her book from the 1960s and read this. Print it and let her read it, if she wont them dont walk out but run.

For me, this is the right dose. Im around 80mg/week and my test is in the mid 700's. Before you get disappointed, give your doc a chance, ride it out for a few months, and then see what your blood levels tell you. There is a chance that this dose rate will be sufficient for you

Lowt.com is 199 month, but you also pay 15 copay for each medication. That includes everything you need. Meds, syringes, alcohol pads. Blood work and dr appointments.

im not disappointed about the dosage its her plan for mg trt. After all the reading ive done since january I feel like this is some half assed bs. I can handle the 1 inj every 2 weeks even. My kicker will be hcg . If that is a no after we talk again it will be a no go. Just sucks because everyday feel like a grind right now. This process to here has taken little over 2 months and $1000 dollars. And havent even got any test yet

Ok wtf. Just talked to dr. An endo. She said absolutely not hcg that it just for fertility. Beings I have vasectomy not necessary. I said so my balls just vanish. She said pretty much. This is supposed to be the premium health care in my area. I was so pissed I forgot to even ask about the injections per week part. At least I have my own hcg.

Some guys get some pain also if not using hcg , idk you may just have to get your own and self medicate.

Well, do what you have to do until you can find a better doctor. Remember, the one you have now does not have balls.....Print out a copy of Crisler's paper on HCG and give it to her. See if that pisses her off.....

Yeah i talked to lowt.com today they sound 10x better w/out talking shit on my endo. Just said ride it out for awhile im probably going to have some ups and downs with the injection periods. The dr they have nearest to me is full and not taking patients. But said they have one coming onboard in about 3-4 weeks.

Before I leave (but defiantly leave her care) I would ask her if it was OK with her if her boobs just shriveled up and disappeared? If you really want to get at her, after saying that look at her boobs and then say Well I guess it is OK with you since you dont have any. That is if she is small breasted.

I hate to pass judgement without knowing much, but from what you say she has no business treating patients for trt. It really is too bad, a lot of men on these poor protocols that just don't know, cause their doctor said.
Don't waste your time with her, it will be a rough ride till someone else can fix it, worse than what you are currently experiencing.

I have no skin in the game as far as directing you any particular place for treatment so my 2 cents....
Key words and specific statements.
1. Doc, visiting the office for a dose on a weekly basis is not in my budget or my schedule due to distance and other obligations.
2. I am very familiar with intermuscluar injections due to the red cross classes I take and feel it is in my best interest to perform these at home during my normal schedule. (watch the videos and know how and be able to talk about the two style of IM injection)
3. Is there a particular reason you would not allow me to perform the injections myself?
Consider her as a car...you have to direct her to the solution. You are lucky in that she realizes you need trt...most Drs will try to go a different direction.
If you don't feel like the hassle the $199 route is nice also. To do your own injections from a "supplier" with test cyp 2x50 doses a week it would cost you 80-90 bucks for 24 weeks of test cyp and syringes. Downside is it is a supplier and you don't have a doctor in the mix and the hassle of orders. Bunk test from rep suppliers is almost nil if you go pharmacy brand.

Well im going to play Guinea pig. First trt infection Friday. Cypionate . Anyone know when I should take my self prescribed hcg on the 1 inj x2weeks protocol?
I talked to injection nurse she told me to be patient that she does do multiple injections/wk for my dr. Wtf so she has to see bw results transition first hand from regimen to regimen.
also said if can handle it she can teach me im injections so I can do them at home
