One month into my TRT...
I'm still waiting on my blood work to come back but overall I feel pretty good.
Recap: 300mg Test Cypionate once weekly
Anastrozole 0.5 and HCG 500u cube (compound pharmacy) M/W/F
I had some nipple sensitivity at week three ( last week) so I took some advise from the board and split my shots into twice weekly. The nipple issue was gone in two days.
Today the doc changed me to 1mg of Anastrozole and 25 mg of Clomid M/W/F and took me off the HCG.
So my question is does this appear to be sound medical advise???
Thanks in advance,
R

just for the record, your TRT dose is 4x greater than mine. My test levels are in the 700's.
with TRT, less is more, and what you have there is more than a TRT dose. What are your test levels coming in at?
and how are your blood panels looking? RBC? Hematricit?
I know only one month in, but it is prudent to start low, not high, and bump up the dose if your blood panels will allow it.

My initial test level came in at 246.
I'm still waiting on my blood work... should have in a few days and will post.
Should I half the dose on the adex???

That's about where mine was when I started trt. I only take 50mg twice weekly and my levels are near top of the range now. (Test levels)
I agree with the others that you will have issues at that dose, especially when it comes to regulating your E2 levels.

Kel and TR have a very great deal of knowledge and their advice is sound. But I would suggest that you NOT take another shot at your present dose. If you have only been treated for one month and started at 300mg/week, I'd say your doctor is sadly lacking in knowledge of TRT. This is an insane starting dose, IMO. I don't know how fast gyno develops but nipple sensitivity is a sure sign of it. This means your E2 levels are way too high - because of the very high dose of T you're injecting.
I'd recommend you dial everything down - including the AI. 50mg T Cyp twice a week. .25mg adex twice a week - Like Trev suggests above. See how you feel.

Guys... Thank you all for your input.
I split my shots this week for the first time.. Next shot is due Thursday. I'll hold off for now.
I'll post my blood work when I get it and bump this post back to the top.
Thanks again,
R

I'm new to trt as of January, and can tell you that 200 mg weekly took me from low 200's to 1600 total test. We're in the process now of lowering to 100 EW in search of free test levels in 700-900 range. Def get the bloodwork before changing, but I'll be amazed if you're not through the roof at 300mg EW. I'm frankly surprised a doc would prescribe that dose. Hope you get it sorted out.

So you were taking 300mg in one shot per week?
That's 1.5cc! That's a huge injection.

Sure.
But when you take into consideration, a common cycle would be 250mg 2x a week (being that most ugl are 250mg/ml instead of 200) that's 1ml per inject. For a cycle.
I don't like how long it takes to inject .375ml. I can't imagine 1.5
I guess once you have done some advanced cycles, 1.5ml isn't that much for one pin. But for some of us that seems like alot

Yep that's what the man gave me... And not knowing any better I'm like "OK".
Not until after finding this board and doing some research did I realize I was using "cycle " levels of test.
So now I have a completely different set of issues.. The office I was going to Sent me an email today letting me know that they are relocating.. They just don't know when. I cant get my results because they are "Locked out" of the current location. The other office is 2 1/2 hours away and they don't have my results. I could go to my regular doc ( she's very open minded) and run it by her.
Meanwhile I'm in limbo ... I don't want to just stop my injections or my AI for fear any kind of crash, gyno etc ..
So should I just drop my dose to 50mg per shot (twice a weak)?
OR
Treat it like a cycle, use my AI ( clomid and Anastrozole) and wait for my test results..
I know eventually I am going to have to lower my dosage.... Any thoughts?
Just for the record.. I am not a kid, I'm 50. This issue is serious to me and I have gotten more knowledge from this forum than I ever imagined. I'm just not sure what to do next.
