I will be my own guinea pig- Is there any other solution?

    Hello guys,

my long story is here: http://forums.steroid.com/hormone-re...early-20s.html

I have had symptoms for 3+ years now since I was 19. I used only prohormones and 'natural' testosterone boosters. I regret it now, maybe they did the mess.

In the past 3 months I had 2 different doctors. 1 of them was a complete jerk so I left him after 2 consultation, the 2nd one was better but said "I don't have the opportunity to do some labwork etc but go there and they will be able to test everything". **** MY LIFE. It's been about 3 years and nothing happened? I had maybe 6-7 doctors or more, I pay insurance, but the doctors I visited are not covered by it, so I spend about 2.5k$ to doctors who didn't tell anything just sent me from place to place and it is said they are the best doctors here!! I could have bought some clothes, went to a nice holiday but no... I gave it to doctors. They did everything, like MRI and shit, and they claim everything is okay, my LH, FSH is low, but my test is ok.

I have enough of this shit, I want my life, sex drive, erection, focus, calmness, positiveness etc back! I have become a bitch, I'm irritable, sometimes(its more and more frequent) very depressed, altought I never had any depression issue in my life. I cannot concentrate on my work, I don't have motivation, energy, confidence, I tolerate stress very badly and I can list my nasty symptoms for days. Nothing bad happened in my life that could make this shit, I mean no psychological reason to this.

So I'm very desperate, I'm planning on doing an experiment by myself, I make a TRT cycle for 8 weeks and see if my testosterone is the problem or not. The exact plan is not figured out yet, I wish to get you oppinion guys about whether it is a good idea, or not.

I would do it for 8 weeks, and every 2 weeks I would do a labwork in order to see my test levels along with some lh, fsh, estradiol etc. It's too bad that I'm going to the USA for 1 month so I can start this in July or have to figure out another way, like prescribe test with a doctor.

    What you guys think?

    Cheers,
    Apple2go

Yes I have a lot, maybe 8-10 different bw(maybe I should change the cost I wrote here, because this cost 800-1000$ alone with no docs FML). Yet, nothing changed, every bw is very similar.

    2014.january
    Ft4: 18,76 range: 12-22
    FT3: 6,15 range: 3,1-6,8
Dvit: 159 range: 75-250 (I hadn't comsumed my d vit 4 days before bw! So it should be better, I take 2000iu 2/day with meal)
    FSH: 2,9 range: 1,5-12,4
    LH: 4,2 range: 1,7-8,6
    Prolactin: 177,4 range: 86-324
    e2: 72,8 range: 28-156
    Total test 18,35 range: 11,4-27,9
    Free test: 2,18 range: 1,6-2,9
    SHBG: 31,7 range: 13.0-71
    RT3: 0,29 range: 0,09-0,35

    2014 february:
    TSH: 5.18 range:0,27-4,2

    ACTH 2,7 range: 1,1-10,12

I didn't write kidney, liver etc functions because everything is good, they tested it several times too.

Honestly, unless im reading wrong your values are pretty good. Free t is high in the reference range and total t is in the middle. Thyroid values are good.

I doubt you'll find any drs willing to help you man. Besides your age, your values are all well within "acceptable" range.

I personally wouldn't suggest trt. Besides that, your trial plan is all wrong. 8 weeks isn't long enough to tell if you're doing any thing. Blood work every 2 weeks is foolish and a waste of money. Testing fsh and lh while on exogenous test, well I can save you a few bucks here: those values will be 0 or close to it.

There's something else going on. I don't think test is your problem.

    But what then?

MRI didn't show any adenoma or stuff like that. What is your guess? What can cause this mess?

I may be a novice, but 72.8 for your e2 seems high.

It's a different scale then most of us use. It may be a little high but not overly so.

Op, I'm not sure what else it could be. Not a dr. I've just seem a lot of blood work in here. Comparably you're about where I am WITH my trt.

Hopefully one of our medical experts will chime in

I'd like to bump this up. I think it would be valuable to find out what's going on.

    For February 2014,
Am I reading it wrong or does it look like your TSH reads 5.18 and the scale goes from .27 to 4.2?

Yes. I know for a fact that hypothyroidism will cause every symptom that the op is experiencing. With all those drs., none of them have done a complete thyroid workup? Your tsh is high.

His t3 and t4 values are excellent. Could he still have hypothyroidism even considering?
