    Blood work after 3 months clomid....questions?

    Blood work No 4 is after 3 months of clomid monotherapy at 50mg eod. It seems to be working, blood work is up, i feel better (tho not great) sex drive has actually went down a bit?? any ideas on this?

    By these results, does this mean i am secondary hypogonadal?

    i realise these last bloods arent complete but money is tight right now and these cost me £150.

    My opinion on SERMs

    Need to also check LH, FSH, E2 and Free T every time.

    Get E2 in the optimal range.

    Reduce SERM dose and/or frequency to get to the minimum dose needed for the desired results. Every few weeks worked for me.

    I would also make sure DHEA-s is at the top of the range.

    Cheers for the reply mate,,,,,,,i would love to get all the blood work every few weeks BUT at £300 a go i just cant afford it right now.

    spoke to my endo today and i am going to half the dose for 3 months, then get bloods again, so ill be on 25mg eod.........see how this goes.

    That sucks. We can order testing online and just show up a testing facility. It's cheap and you don't have to deal with idiot doctors.

    Well back to square one and even worse!.....the clomid wasnt making me feel much better so decided to come off it and wait 3 month to see if it had kick started my natural production.....didnt work now back to the start......this is an on going problem i have been trying to sort for 2 years.....i have had enough of the docs bullshit and feeling like shit!........self medication will be starting 2015....

    In the meantime, look deeper into your thyroid. Hypothyroidism or sub-clinical hypo can cause hypogonadism.

    I have been tested 2 x for thyroid problems and both times the docs have said im fine! lol........from my thyroid results above do you see any problems?

    Yes, probably hypothyroid. Most doc's will tell you you're ok as long as TSH is within range. The same as many do for your testosterone as they don't really know them. Problem is the range used on most lab reports is out dated. Newer standards are .3 - 3.0. TSH by itself is a weak indicator of thyroid health but yours was over 3 and over 2 on the tests above. Plus low FT4.

    Thats Great! thanks a lot........im at my wits end with all the bullshit.....just need guidance and getting none from any doctor....ill take a good read of that........

    Todays results........i have been taking thyroid medicine since Kelkel gave me the information above. I dont feel any different even though my test has gone up 5 points..........my diet has been great and i have been taking 10000 iu vit d each day........

    any thoughts?
