Yes, even at a low dosage it will shut him down. That's a really low dose.

Yes, you're correct. This family doc ABSOLUTELY doesn't know. Therefore he shouldn't be writing T Cyp for ANYONE. 50mg/week will shut down your friend and will likely give him no benefits at all because the dose is so low. (From my knowledge the almost universal starting dose from doctors with knowledge of TRT is 100mg/week.) IMO, your friend would be lucky if he felt any improvement at all. It's a complete lose-lose situation. I'd suggest you advise your friend to do his homework while he finds another doctor who can treat him properly.

i started at 40 mlg per week cause my doc was scared, after 2 weeks i said it sucks and said hey lets go straight to 100, and if my tests come back to high we will work our wa back down, he said yup, and my last test only (no hcg included) came back at 650... which is awesome, if i add 250 iu of hcg only once per week i come in at over 1,000... so have him talk to the doc after his first round of blood work, and see if he can split the shots up thru out the week,
dr crisler now suggests daily injections... i guess it keeps the blood more stable and such so im planning on splitting mine to m/w/f and hcg tue/thrs/sat... we will see how it goes...
