    HCG Questions

I'm on TRT now, at 37 years old, and might want to have kids in the future (I know I know). lol....

Will starting HCG now help my chances of being able to have kids in a few years and if so what would be the minimum amount?

Yes. Consider a minimum of 750iu/week.

750 for maintenance until I'm ready to have kids? That seems like a lot.

Anywhere from 500-1000iu total per week is pretty standard TRT range.

Is that on top of test? Or just by itself?

So for the best chances of having kids later I should get stable levels with HCG then cut the test to get just below out of range?

    Ok.... will do.

In the mean time, with future baby making skills the main goal, is it better to cut the test or cut the HCG in preparation for labs and keeping the doctor happy? I have to remain below the high range.

Sound advice. You'll still have the benefits and make the doctor happy. You'll be on this forever so I'd bet you'll get pretty good at this stuff.

So..... you can see from these labs where I am at.

    T Total males 912 (241-827)
    T-Total Lc/ms/ms 1085 (250-1100)
    FreeT 213.1 (35-155)
    Dihydro T 82 (16-79)
    E2 Sensitive 39 (< or =29)
    E2 regular 34 (< or =39)

Given the 100/week test cyp. dose I am on, how much would you reduce it?

The HCG is currently being dosed at 250/week x2 and is not from the doctor. The goal is to get the HCG from the doctor, but I have to convince her. The Test is from the doc.

Reduce Test 10mg per week, and test again in 6 - 8 weeks.

What is your doctor doing about E2?

    Thanks.... ^^^

The doc is OK with E2 AT the top of the range. Not sure what she's going to say about the slightly elevated levels.

What's do you guys think? The slightly elevated is a problem? I feel good, and I don't have to do the AI thing. Yet. I'd rather not if at all possible.

AIs aren't as bad as high E2.

If you're not having problems, that's good. But keep an eye on it. Long-term high E2 can cause other problems.

And there is a good chance E2 may drop as you titrate down.

So I dropped the test 10mg a week as suggested and my labs are now more elevated than before! WTF? lol....

My E2 sensitive level dropped due to the AI, but the non-sensitive went up!!????!!

What's your guys advice here? Is it safe and healthy to stay in these ranges long term? I ask because I feel I am dialed 100%. Everything from mental, sex drive, physical seems great.

Can I justify this to the doc? Or am I going to have to get the test numbers down? SHOULD I get the test numbers down for long term health??

    Testosterone Total - 1214 (250-1100)
    Testosterone Free - 258.2 (35- 155)
    DHT- 74 / (16-79)
    E2 (sensitive) 18 (< or =29)
E2 non-sensitive 49 (<or =39) ( This was lower than the sensitive on my last lab, see above, while the sensitive was higher- WTF?)

    I am taking
    250 iu x 2 HCG
    35x2 Test Cyp
.3 mg Arimidex x2 (day of test shot)

    **Note**
When getting into these minor adjustments, that .5 cc left in the syringe after injection makes a difference. I don't load an extra half CC so in all reality I am only taking 35 2xweek (70 total). It's irrelevant because I was only taking 80/week prior to the reduction. Just wanted to clarify those numbers.

Personally I like your numbers but it's between you and your doc. As long as you manage your E2 and hematocrit you're fine there. That said, you have room to drop your test a bit if you choose. Base what you do on your free T, not total T.

When was BW pulled relative to your last injection?

Cool.... I just feel so dialed mentally/physically and dose synergy that I hate to change anything right now if it's not necessary. I can convince my doc to leave me as-is if there are no legitimate arguments against it, IE potential health issues.

I dose HCG Monday/Thursday, Test Tuesday/Friday. Bloods were taken Wednesday morning. Perhaps I should have tested Monday.

My hematocrit has been borderline for some time. This time it tested at 52.0 (38.5-50). Last time it tested 51.1. Hemoglobin tested 17.3 ((13.2-17.1) this time, and last time a bit higher @ 17.7.

Odd thing is my triglycerides dropped from 194 last time, to 82 this time. That's huge. Cholesterol dropped from 234 to 207 as well. Ratio went from 6.9 to
    5.3.

SHBG went up from 31 to 34, so not a huge change there.

Again, I just want to be healthy. Sometimes docs aren't the best at looking past the charts. If the slightly elevated free test is not a health concern I will be armed with that info to convince the doctor to leave things where they are at.

I'm wondering just how accurate labs are from test to test. The last set of tests, where i was taking more test, were taken day after the test shot and came out lower.

Results on lab tests will never be the same. Day to day different things influence your body and results will change. Expect that. You pulled blood basically 24 hrs after injection. Test will peak within 24-48 hrs or so, metabolism dependent, therefore your higher numbers. On your next BW I'd test on Tuesday morning before your test injection. Always keep an eye on your hema and give blood if needed. If it continues to elevate at to quick a pace then you need to drop your dose a bit.

Thanks for your input. My hematocrit has been hovering just below or just above the limit for some time now. I will give blood once or twice and see where it lands next time.

At this point, I believe you've gotten the best advice possible for your goals. Regarding having children in "the future": All you need to do right now is to decide when... and then get busy.

Better yet; just get busy anyhow.
