Do you tell your doctor about your aas use?

Finally going to meet with an endo. Thursday for my low test. and I dont know if it will help or hurt to tell him about my aas usage. Anyone want to share their experiences and opinions on this?

It depends on your reason for this meeting. If youre seeking advice for low T symptoms, it may not be wise to share your AAS use. This may be used against you as some Endos may not entirely understand and blame your symptoms on this when they hear about AAS use. And obviously dont go in there unless youre at baseline in case blood work is ordered.

    My opinion is don't tell.

We have seen reports on the forum that some doctors don't like to treat AAS guys. IMO it's better to not find out if your doctor is one of them.

Following on TimeR's comments. In the future if you have a serious illness, like a kidney failure, the HMO could come back and say it was your AAS use that is the root issue and not pay.

Alright I am going to keep it to myself... Don't want any problems in the future and honestly never really liked the idea of telling my doctor I was doing something illegal lol but at the same time I feel guilty lying and withholding information from someone trying to help me.

Would you disclose you are a drug abuser? Some Doc's may see it as such and treat accordingly. As others have said it will become a record with that Doc, at least within that organization but as far as I know they don't share with others (organizations) unless you request a transfer of records if you were to go to a different health provider.
