Any issues running Deca with TRT?
I've been on TRT for just under 2 years now and I'm going to be doing a blast with Deca and Test. Anyways, was thinking of running Deca year round at 100-200mg/week along with my TRT dose of Test C. Was curious if there are any issues doing this? I know you can't run Deca without Test but I'm thinking for joint issues that could benefit me greatly. I already have a fake hip and a meeting with my surgeon found that I prob. only have 2 years left of my other hip before that needs to be replaced. I'm thinking the Deca may help with hip pain and/or prolong my hip surgery. Any and all relief will be a huge benefit for my quality of life.

Quite a few people run low dose 100mg deca with TRT. Some tend to like NPP a little better. I'm not sure about year around though. It might be good to take a break every few months for a month or so.
Sorry to hear about the hip. My sister has had both hips replaced and is happy with it. It's amazing how far they have come with that. Better to do the whole thing than fix it anymore. Same with knees in a lot of cases.
It's possible with the deca and HGH protocol you were talking about it could reverse the bone degeneration or at least prolong it several years. That would be a good log to keep and see what happens.Last edited by lovbyts; 10-13-2014 at 07:26 AM.

That's a great idea. I wonder if the HGH will help prolong this. I will start a log. Thank you for the idea. Do you think NPP would be a better option? Run it at 100mg per week for 8-10 weeks with a 4 week break and cycle it this way? I could easily split it with my test at 50mg every 3.5 days.

I run 50mg Test and 50mg deca twice weekly, no issues, and helps the aged joints

When I did a long term cruise I incorporated low dose deca (150/week). I really liked it. I do think a break from time to time is a good idea. Im not sure about npp, the frequent injections would be a pain. I literally injected the deca 1x every 7 days. With the long ester thats all you need to do to get the benefits. My blood work was pretty darn good as well. Now I take NAC and Red Yeast Rice year round and I am sure the RYR helps my lipid profile. Deca is a fairly safe roid. Everyone does respond differently and I respond very well to deca, run it every cycle at some dose. You have to see for yourself. Some have ED issues with deca even at low doses especially when the test dose is low as well. You can always give it a try and see.

I'm curious what other benefits this may provide? Aside from joint pain relief?
I'm just not familiar with deca .. I would assume there would be some sort of strength/musculature benefits as well?

So essentially it's just for joint relief?

I am considering doing the same protocol with Deca but am not having any luck with the DR. Is anyone having success getting a prescription or are folks just going the UGL route?

At the low dose for joints would it be likely to still get side effects? Thanks

Yes I'm curious, due to its nature, at 100mg/wk would an ai adjustment be necessary? Would any other bloods be recommended? Any other ancillary?
I'm interested. My joints have always been a problem, they've actually improved since starting trt (my theory is my e2 levels were low, alongside the low test levels), but any other relief would be great.
Sorry to thread jack Pete. perhaps my questions may help answer yours as well?

At a very low dose, probably not. It barely aromatizes compared to test but can enhance progesterone receptors and they don't play well with estrogen when it's not controlled. Again though, at a low dose you may not notice anything. It's one of the safer drugs out there actually.
Hawk you'd just have to pull BW to see what's going on with estrogen. Other than that there's nothing special to check beyond your normal BW. Don't forget things like MSM Powder for joints as well.

It's a sulfur product:
7 Benefits of MSM – The Miracle Supplement – The Shawn Stevenson Model
Counter point:
Meta-Analysis of the Related Nutritional Supplements Dimethyl Sulfoxide and Methylsulfonylmethane in the Treatment of Osteoarthritis of the Knee
They seem to negate their own validity a bit here in 4.1:
"There are some limitations of this meta-analysis. First, only three trials were available for inclusion assessingN= 326 patients in total, of whichN= 161 received active treatment. Further trials may therefore affect the future assessment of these supplements. In addition specific methodological concerns have been identified in these trials including the issue of adequate treatment period with only one study assessing the supplements for a clinically relevant time [43]."
It seemed to help me and I know others here have used it with success as well. I always have DMSO (another sulfur product) on hand. DMSO has actually been used in the horse racing industry for decades:

Interesting stuff. Hope it helps.

I ran deca a few times along with my trt.
My take is ,its not worth it.
I ran 100 mg for 14 weeks with 200 mg test/ week as a low blast.
I gained 15 ibs and lost all of it in 6 weeks .
Its now been 6 months abd i have libido and Erection issues.
Nor 19's are not to be messed with .

I don't know how old you are but my dad is now 53. He has had both hips done within the last 2.5 years. He went through tons of pain before doing first hip. After he did the first he was amazed. He didn't do waste time on the second. Now hes 10 years younger easy. Walks 36 holes on golf courses like bandon dune (elevated terrain)
I wouldnt go through the pain. Plus you can put stress in othe areas like knees compensating for hip. Your up walking hours after surgery too. Quick recovery too.

Is incredible how far they come in hip replacement science, in the old days if a old person broke a hip they were done, they all die from that.

I totally agree. This is the prostetic that I have. Much better option than a traditional hip replacement. It's not perfect but it's a million times better than what I had before. When the pain starts in my left hip I will replace it. I went a long time with the pain before I did anything. Not going thru that again.
