Testicles always shrink?
I'm contemplating discontinuing HCG . I've been lazy for a month or so and maybe have taken a shot or two of HCG in that timeframe. I shoot 70mg Test-C twice a week which keeps me at about a level of 1040.
Question is ... is testicular shrinkage an inevitable part of TRT, or do some individuals not experience that affect? In the past month, mine have NOT really shrunk? Does it take longer?

Haven't hear any surveys done on this. Or any statistics for that matter. I remember a few who have posted here that nothing happens to them without hCG . Why on earth would you want to stop??
hCG is for so many other things besides the "cosmetic" effect. You'd be missing out on a great deal if you stopped, IMO. Read the sticky to find out more.

Sox is correct in that HCG has a lot of advantages beyond preventing testicular atrophy. In fact, in my opinion, preventing testicular atrophy is the least of the advantages and most certainly the least important since it has no affect on you physically either way. If preventing atrophy is the only reasons you're using it, then sure, that's not much of a reason...unless ball fullness is highly important to you.
All of that said, there are those who will find that HCG doesn't do much for them. All the advantages of HCG are nowhere to be seen in these individuals. Some men simply do not respond to it at any dose or frequency.

The first month and a half I thought I was fine then it hit me like a rock. My balls were pathetic, I wouldnt go without hcg anymore. It dramatically improves my mood as well its a win win the only problem is the price

LT,
Would you be kind enough to elaborate on the main advantages of HcG ? I can read the stickies and have but would welcome your feelings on this. I happen to be one of those individuals that don't seem to benefit much other the atrophy effect. Thanks Bull

In my opinion, the biggest advantage is that it helps maintain stable levels between testosterone injections. There are often less peaks and valleys. Libido is often improved significantly with HCG as well. If you still want to have children, it's definitely worthwhile as it helps protect fertility. There are some reports that it improves fertility.

Thanks LT,
Confirmed what I thought I already knew. Seems to me, for those that pin only once per week (myself), it is imperative to pin the HcG on days 5 and 6 for the reason you listed pertaining to more stable levels and plain the peaks and valleys.

For me going on HCG made a huge improvement in my well being! I did not use HCG the first year on trt because my doctor didn't believe
in it...
Anyway I did get some shrinkage but this took a few months and got worse toward the end of the year.
I guess you could say I feel like something is missing when I'm not on HCG. I just feel way better mentally on hcg!

I fail to understand why anyone would go through the effort of pining themselves 2x week with Test Cyp yet neglect to take HCG . No offense, but seems irresponsible. If you're failing on this, you're likely failing on other aspects of your protocol whether it be diet, training etc...

I'm not sure if I'm getting any benefit from it. I've read the stickie, but still not sure if I'm getting any benefit. I appreciate your comment API, and given the tone of it, you may be right. I'm very strict with my protocol, going as far as doing my own bloodwork every couple of months. I guess I'm looking at getting rid of things that don't work, everywhere in my life. TRT is easy for me ... i don't need an AI nor do I have any other issues such as Hematocrit/Hemoglobin issues. I pay 10 bucks a month for Test-C, my doc listens and is easy to deal with, I buy my supplies online and shoot twice a week, never missing... TRT is cheap and easy for me. But for you to tell me that I'm being irresponsible, maybe you're right, maybe I'm neglecting something that I shouldn't be. After all, HCG is cheap and easy to get.
Having said that ... I'm pinning Test-C on Wed and Sat ... when would it be best to pin HCG?
And as far as the rest of my life, I do crossfit 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, yoga twice a week, diet is good at 5'10" 175, 10%bf, so it's not an issue with laziness, just questioning necessity. I get it though API, lazy people that don't do all they could drive me crazy.Last edited by vmons01; 10-30-2014 at 10:19 AM.

But that falls back to what im saying. If your primary and balls dont work it dont matter right? Is it just a waste of money?

You can put it right in the same pin as your test. Keep it simple. And there are some people that just don't seem to realize any of the subjective benefits of HCG. It happens.
Possibly. The other school of thought is that there are LH receptors throughout your body. It's not solely about your nuts, to be blunt.
