Age 27: Total Test 225, Free Test 15.
Just had my levels tested on Thursday and the total was at 350 last time I was tested back in 2011. So my total test level has dropped but my free test is still in the normal range!? How much significance is the Free test level compared to the Total Test level?

I am confused on what ranges you are asking for!? My BW is 205lbs! And so if the Free Test level is the important one, and is closer to the norm then would my Total level being so low not make much of and impact?

I am 25 and tested 285 and my doctor said my levels are really low and has put me in trt. I weigh 235 and am 5'11 for comparison.

That figures. I would look into finding a doctor who knows more about hormones because yours does not. Dont let them fool you by telling you they do because if they did they would have already ordered all the test at once.
You can either go to a low T clinic (they are most everywhere) or try an endocrinologist. Only problem there are a lot of endos who dont know much either. A lot of them still think there is no need to test your estrogen or sensitive estrogen because it only makes a difference in women. lol

lol thanks bro obviously I thought body weight. And as far as my doc that ordered the "BW", I asked for some of the other test but he wouldn't do it. He is the doc I'm going to be getting treatment from, I'm going to be going to a anti aging clinic tomorrow. I just wanted to get my BW from my primary care doc.

I think you should find a doctor that knows hormones and will take the time to find what's causing your low T. I would not band aid it with TRT unless it's absolutely a last resort. So many things can cause low T such as hypothyroidism, prolactin and cortisol issues, pathologies or trauma. You really need to be patient here and find the root cause, and that starts with full BW. There's an example of it in the Finding A Doc sticky thread at the top of this forum.
There's no doubt in my mind that if you don't investigate this you'll always have doubts in whether you did the right thing or not. TRT is a wonderful thing, IF you need it.

I had a pretty bad atBI and so the docs think it's more than likely a damaged pituitary gland. The doc I went to for the TRT on Thursday knows what he is talking about and after some small talk I found out he used to post on here. I did my first shot of 100mg test cyp on Friday and will be doing once a week injections with a AI 3 days after injection.

You should obtain an MRI to determine if you actually have pituitary issues.
Do you happen to have pre-TRT LH/FSH values?
You probably do not need an AI until your E2 indicates that you do. You don't arbitrarily start on one.
If in fact 6 week BW indicates you need an AI then it should be the day after injection or at least the day of. 3 days after is missing most of test's peak, which is normally 24-48 hrs after injection.

I've not had a MRI of my pituitary yet but he did talk with me about that. And as far as my other levels, I had them tested over a year ago at a endocrinologist but I can't remember what they were. The doc I'm seeing now is a ER trauma doc but also has his own anti aging clinic. He said the AI 3.5 days after injection would help keep levels stable till the next injection!?

I just got the results back from my test results after six weeks of TRT. My total test had only improved to 260 from 235 and my TSH was 2.120. So my doc increased my test cypionate from 100mg a week to 125mg weekly and .5 Adex twice a week I'll be getting blood work in another 6 weeks.
