Eestrogen issue
Im currently on self administerd cycle during my trt treatment.
this is week 8 and recent blood test results are attached:
TEST FREE: 100 PG/ML
TEST TOTAL: 120 NMOL/L
ESTRADIOL: 85 PG/ML
FSH: 0.05 mUI/mL
LH 0.07 mUI/mL
SHBG: 25.9 NMOL/L
CREATININ: 0.94 MG/DL
RBC COUNT: 5.17 *10^6/μl
been given tamoxifen percscribed by my doctor and was told to take only if feel the first symptoms of gyno.
but after reading some more - i understood that having high e2 might fail the test administration all together.
and it might be psychological but i get the feeling that im gaining more fat than previous weeks and retaining a bit water (no gyno symptoms anyhow).
should i get arimidex instead? should i start using the nolva?
please help!
p.s started cycle with a low b.f (9%)Last edited by SHBG; 12-09-2014 at 12:04 PM.

What was the ranges ?? Were you not taking a AI while on this blast ?? As you know nolva wont do nothing for lowering you e2.

Is your Dr aware that you are blasting? You should be taking Arimidex or Exemestane for your high E2.

the ranges for e2 are 11 - 44 pg/mL is 82 really that high?
i am aware it wont lower the e2 but will it better the androgen receptor properties? meaning will the test bind better to its receptors?
Ive never used arimidex , what sides should i expect?
how long after the first administration would u recommend doing a blood test to make sure the e2 is back to normal? Are there any visual/external signs by which i could tell that the e2 has gone back?Last edited by SHBG; 12-09-2014 at 12:03 PM.

If you think of it, 82pg/mL is double the upper range for E2 and that, IMO, is exceedingly high. "Feeling" symptoms of high estradiol is not a place you want to be for very long. It's no secret that you get on a comfortable TRT protocol, get the dosing along with your AI right and stay there. If you're looking for an aromatase inhibitor, I'd recommend Aromasin /Exemestane. I'd suggest you look at this thread:
Exemestane-The Underdosed AI
I personally don't like anastrozole/arimidex at all. It's very strong, it's tough to get the dosing right, and it has a "rebound" effect when it wears off. The only way I can explain this is that your body reacts to it as if it were a narcotic; you feel worse than before you took it. So you have to be VERY aware of when your next dose is due, and as I said this is very hard to do, IMO. I stay very far away from it.
Please note that I am only speaking from the perspective of TRT, not cycling.

firstly thank you for the response.
and what would u recommend for the trt patient who peforms the occasional blast?
or in other words, do u think aromasin will still do the job on higher doses?

My E2 was about 68 if memory serves. I control it with .5 mg of Arimidex . If you're going to try it, I would start with that.

First of all, it takes a lot of trial and error to get the right dosage - for anything. And that's what I did. I finally settled into a nice routine of 12.5mg every six days. And I can't tell you how smooth it is! I don't feel any ups or downs at all. Everything is humming along just fine.
Just go last months blood work back: Total T: 1047, Range: 348-1197 Free T: 21.9, Range: 6.6-18.1 And this is my TROUGH! Before my shot. Remember I do daily SQ.
I recently lowered my daily dose to 14mg (98mg/week) Based on the above readings, I'm going to now lower my daily hCG to 100iu/day from 125iu.
The only bad thing is that my PSA increased from 3.1 to 3.8. Don't like the looks of that. My doctor said one thing that could cause that is increased "activity". Hmmm.... Sounds about right. ;-) But I'm probably the most "senior" member of this forum (in years) and a higher PSA often comes with this territory.
Take a look at this thread. I believe it will offer some guidance and help answer some of your questions.

props brother. Happy to hear u got things figured out - cant wait to be there myself.
i also started conducting psa tests in my recent blood work, so far all is well.
By saying you feel no changs meaning you are estrogen side effect free?
how did it express itself with u before hand? what would happen previously that triggered the need?
U mind sharing your weight and height?
Thank you very much again, im very glad i opened this thread.Last edited by SHBG; 12-13-2014 at 02:04 AM.
