Well it depends on how you look at the context of the question. Do take steroids as in doing a cycle of Test, Deca , Tren exta there are several ways to do it. Keep your HRT dose the same and add Deca, Tren or xyz, bump up your test dose alone or bump up your test dose and add Deca, Tren or xyz but what ever way you do it after the cycle you go back to your original HRT dose.

If you are asking if doing a cycle with somehow effect how much test your need for HRT before and after the cycle then no, it wont effect it.

actaully my concern is.. let's say person X is on HRT... if they start taking Deca or Tren .. will their bloodwork show it when they go in to the doc for the 6 week bloodwork?
How about orals? Tbol / Dbol or Var?

OK I see. Hell yes it will show. lol
When on cycle a lot of things get out of whack. Typically liver enzyme goes way up, cholesterol goes up, RBC goes up and a few other things. I'm guessing your test levels would also be out of whack, high but I have not stuck to HRT levels of test and used other compounds and then tested.

Liver enzymes will be elevated if you're using C17-aa compounds, which would be most orals and a few injectables.
Only testosterone itself will affect testosterone levels - if you're using your TRT dose of testosterone with other steroids , your testosterone levels on the blood test will still only reflect your levels based on your TRT dose.
Cholesterol and CBC items may or may not be affected in a notable way, hard to say - everyone is different.
Your E2 levels may be affected by the other steroids you're taking, but this depends on the steroids.

you got great answers above, but someone going in for 6 week blood work after starting Trt shouldn't be running a cycle, they should be figuring out their proper dosage.

Exactly what I did, and did nothing but delay my trt progress. It is best to wait, get dialed in first as you have noted, then consider other things.

Nice bike Bass. Just picked up a 2014 V-rod in the Philippines. I am not at the point to go for the side boxes yet.

I went against the advice and figured out my cycle dose and sides and working out the needs before working on my HrT dose specifics. This was due to my doctor knew I was hypogonadal but was going to take 2 years to figure my dose. I also feel that until you have been on supplemented testosterone for 2 years (when you are 90th percentile recovered) you are not figuring out your "real dose" but a momentary snapshot dose. Everyone I know on trt has changed their dose continually over the first two years and got to where they needed to be at the 20-24 month point. Not saying the above advice is wrong or that my advice is right...just how I am doing it. I have several things going for me most do not. I brew my own stuff. I have supply to last me the rest of my life. I have several instant return blood test locations I can visit. My phlebotomy doctor has no issue with my testosterone being 10x out of range. I do Chinese medicine cupping weekly that reduces RBC weekly (now). I spent a lot of time reading and asking questions here..so much so I was told to cycle already haha. My girlfriend continually asks when I am going to cycle again (she likes the added attention).

About to start my second cycle at the 9 month point and would not have changed a thing except one. The big hurdle I encountered was finding a doctor that would write phlebotomy prescripts. Donating blood is not as easy as it once was. Many things, including out of range HCT, can be reason to refuse a donation.

When you do cycle your doctor is not going to assist you on your journey. Their job is to get you to visit them as much as possible. SO all the things I mentioned above including where to do blood work are things you need to figure out before you consider cycling. It is a lot of work to get set up so you cycle safely. A lot of reading and initial investment.
