    injection timing and blood work.

i've been on trt for over a year now, and except for the back acne (perhaps exacerbated by a cycle... ;-)), i've really liked the benefits in mood and energy. that being said, i've had bw done a few times and each time have been counseled to get bloodwork done n+1 days after my last injection, where n is my normal period between injections (i'm currently on a 100mg/4 days protocol).

obviously my test levels should change with time after injection, being highest on the day after injection (i think) and lowest the day of the injection (i think). from an averaging point of view, i'd think bw should be taken mid-way through the period.

i'm wondering if n+1 is standard for others, and what the overall rational is for the various sampling points.

    thanks!

oh... i should've mentioned. i'm on test cyp.

ripped, 72 hours seems to long for test cyp... i did a quick search and found this: Hormone kinetics after intramuscular testosterone cypionate. - PubMed - NCBI

looks like you are right, ripped! thanks.

Well, you'll be doing this for a long time so at this point it doesn't really matter, IMO. Just pay attention to when your blood is drawn so you can compare later on. Keep a diary. Everyone on TRT should do this because it's the smart thing to do. BW the day before; jot it down. BW the day after; jot it down. Midweek; you get the picture. Then you'll be able to know your crest and trough and midrange. If you were brand new to this, and doing it once a week, I'd say show your vein the day before. But you're not brand new to this.
