Anastrozole dosage

My trt doc has me on 1mg Anastrozole 2xwk. Everything I read here says that's way too much.

Therapy includes
100mg Test cyp
hcg 350ius 2wk


Current sides at 4wks include low libido, testis still shrinking, low energy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I agree. Way too much imo. is this based off BW? you should post your BW with ranges. .5 mgs a week is a place to start. if you pin twice a week, .25 mgs after pinning would be a place to start and work from there. My Dr started me at a higher dose and crashed my estradiol. Anastrozole is very powerful.

You may not even need Anastrozole on those doses of T and hCG . Most guys don't. If you end up needing it, the dose should still be significantly lower.

I wasn't given my BW results. I've been pinning test once a week Sun nights, HCG Fri & Tue, AI Mon & Thurs before bed. I would try to lesson the dose from 1mg to .25 but I'm not sure how accurate cutting up the 1 mg pills would be.

It's difficult, but doable.

If I were you I'd stop the AI until bloodwork dictates that you need it. Anastrozole is powerful stuff and leaves a lot of guys feeling like shit if taken when not needed.

If nothing else, drop it to .5mg on Mondays. If you're injecting 100mg of T once per week, there's likely no need to take another dose of Anastrozole later in the week since your T levels are on the decline by that point.

Buy a pill cutter to split the arimidex . It makes it easy to split them into 1/4 pieces.

I'm on roughly the same amount of test, and hcg as you. Until recently I didn't even need the AI. I took an otc pro hormone, and my estrogen levels were very very high so my doc started me on the arimidex.

I agree with all the guys above, even .5 is too much for many of us. Take the advice above and take AI based on blood work, if you really need it then it's fine, if you're not sure ask your doctor for a copy of bw and see where you sit, otherwise stop AI until you do bw.

I was given almost the exact same protocol and i caught it before my E was too low. Now i open up the capsule and dump 3/4's of it out before taking it

Thank you for all the advise. I'm going to discontinue it for a month then do BW.

On another note any advise on HCG timing? My protocol is two days before and two days after t shot. But most info that I can find recommends day before and day of. Not sure if the timing is even that critical but when looking at the half life of HCG 24hrs it seems it would make a diference.

You've gotten all the advice you need at this point. The Liquidex from the sponsor is pretty good and since it's liquid it's easy to measure. But the best advice I can personally give is to not even consider Adex. As has been said, it's VERY powerful and way too difficult to get the dosing right - in my opinion and from my personal experience. I steer very clear of it. Consider Exemestane which IMO is far superior. It's gentler and easier all around.

I think that this blanket statement about "shoulds" is unwise. No one size fits all and this is common knowledge for anyone who is minimally experienced with TRT. As you later indicate, doses ought to be adjusted "accordingly" based upon blood work - and this applies to everyone.. What is "minimum"? In my view, there is no such thing. We all know it's all trial and error and this should be made very clear for any dosing advice given. Anything else is just opinion or suggestion - and to be responsible - ought to be indicated as such.

WTF? Did I miss something? Op if you need to start Anastrozole, I would start at .25 mg twice a week and work from there. That's IF you really need it. Remember BW is a guide but also how you feel. It is trial and error, but with BW you'll figure out.

hCG most take one shot a day before test shot twice a week, some 3 times a week. Me i simply take it the same time of my test shot. Makes no difference really.
