hrt prescrition and mail order from overseas

I am going to start HRT very soon, however once I have the prescription and diagnosis in hand is there anything legally holding me back from ordering what I want from wherever I want? or do I have to stick with the clinic/doc who originally handled the case? thanks.

Little confused what you're asking... You need a proper doctor to monitor your health and get you dialed in. Its not like you get qualified and are in the clear to handle it by yourself. Nor does a script make it legal to order raws from overseas. Would be nice though....

Some clinics require you to fill your prescription with a pharmacy of their choice. Other doctors just write you a prescription that you fill at a pharmacy of your choice.

To answer your question, having a prescription does not allow you to legally order whatever you want from wherever you want. It allows you to fill the prescribed amount at a pharmacy within the United States.

Or maybe I don't understand the question.

BallSak is right. Blood work is needed every 8 weeks or so until you are dialed in. After that, maybe only every 6 months.

If you live in the States, it's probably not a good idea to receive controlled substances through the mail, even with a prescription as the government likes to keep track of things. In the past, there were allowances for crossing at a land border, but that was years ago and I don't know what the latest is.

In Thailand, it's not a good idea, even with a prescription. And penalties are stiff.

Anything you order that is not from a Pharmacy or a Legal Compounding Pharmacy using a legitimate prescription will be considered illegal.

As said, you need a doctor to also monitor you. If things go well you should get dialed in in about 6 months to 1 year. It's not as easy as just taking a shot or a pill and it's all good.

If you have a script and can get it legally here and pharm grade, why would you risk overseas meds? Cialis is one thing but I would not get my TRT test from anywhere but a local RX.
    lovbyts and APIs like this.

This is what I figured, but thought id ask anyway. As for bloodwork and being dialed in... I am in no hurry to screw myself up, a doc will be taking care of things.
