Looking for suggestions with good backing, ie those that are not the norm and hopefully not backed by bro-science. My diet couldn't be healthier, consists of healthy fats, cruciferous greens and lean meat, I even make a broth soup with root powders and extracts from plants that have been shown to boost levels naturally as well.

I used to workout like a traditional bodybuilder but switched to a HFT style of lifting along with taekwondo/MMA/grappling classes. every once in awhile I will also throw some b12 in the shoulder. Part of the reason i am looking for ways like this is a $$ issue and i do not have any insurance, my labs were free from participation in a Human performance study that i participated in at a University.

I am 99% certain that the levels are from a cycle of stack 375 I had tried years back but had a falling out with my supplement supplier so my PCT was F'ed. As of today I started hcg at 500 U eod. I would love to take an anti-e with it but I am limited with money and what I can get my hands on atm, Im not nearly motivated to do anything as I used to be and have every symptom of low T, I think the worst is the insomnia, it gets in the way of everything.

Hey Tampa... Let me first say welcome to the forum! Your in a great place to get yourself educated and some great knowledge here to be had on the boards!

I'm 31, and just found out as well that i now have low T and just know your not alone... I'm currently looking into Drs(urologist/Endo) to see if my Ins. Will cover... But in the case that they don't the clinics Fvkin rob you! It's a shotty deal... Insomnia does suck... As well as the motivational drop... I too just filled out numerous med histories w/?'s and it seems that we both have almost all the symptoms to the T!... I wish you the best brother!

Post up your current BW if possible. Maybe we can see something that's inhibiting your test production. If possible post up:

    LH/FSH
    Total T
    Free T
    Cortisol
    Prolactin
    Thyroid panel
    etc..

    Add ranges please.

Also, HCG is suppressive to your LH production. Unless you're continuing it as HCG mono therapy I'd discontinue this approach. You need solid BW. An example is in the Finding A Doc sticky thread at the top of this forum.

If anyone has problems sleeping you can try valerian root, as a tea or pills. Melatonin works as well, and one other thing I have used is kava kava. Kava kava is not for sleep, but it helps me relax enough to fall asleep.

    Kelkel,

Thank you for your quick response, I greatly appreciate any and all information you give Sir.

Here is a little more info. The study was geared towards performance/gains/maintenance while on a ketogenic diet being at roughly a 500 calorie deficit, a slight drop in test levels was expected but minimal. With that being said i went on a 4 day massive carb binge because i was already eating a keto diet and wanted a proper baseline. Here is all the blood work i currently have...

    Blood Testosterone

    Measurement Baseline
    Total Testosterone (ng/dL)-399
    Free Testosterone (pg/mL)-7.6

    Measurement Post Test
    Total Testosterone (ng/dL)-373
    Free Testosterone (pg/mL)-6.6

    • Free Testosterone Normal Range= 9.3—26.5pg/dL
    • Total Testosterone Normal Range= 348-1197ng/dL

I sent an email requesting the BW of the LH/FSH,Total T,FreeT,Cortisol,Prolactin,Thyroid panel
etc.. I am awaiting his response, it can be like pulling teeth with them sometimes, I will also be looking into getting that BW done specifically testing for what you mentioned and the example you referred me to look at in the sticky

    Hey Jstone,

i have actually tried valerian root and combined it with another natural extract, i cant remember the name for some reason right now but i remember it being sweet. I havent had any luck with melatonin either, pills or the sublingual drops.. have not tried kava kava yet.. only thing that ever worked for me was when i had my medical marijuanna card or ambien and the ambien made me groggy unless i slept for atleast 8 hours and when i became used to it upping the dose would work but sometimes i would go into that zombie state and my rommate would find me scrubbing my bathroom like someone with ocd lol, so glad was not one of the ones who drove in that zombie sleep state

Well, you're definitely low and at your age should be higher. Now you need to find the causative factor and that will be via solid BW. If your LH/FSH comes back low and you have low T the problem is secondary (pituitary related) and if your LH/FSH comes back high and your T is low then the problem is primary (testicular) related. Also know that hypothryoidism causes hypogonadism and elevated cortisol or prolactin will impact T levels as well. It's why BW is so important. Even head or testicular trauma can cause it.

Remember, if insurance will not cover BW there are legitimate private labs available that work without prescriptions.
