    Bloodwork for HPTA restart

ive been diognossed with low T which also led to the discovery of having porus bones. im currently at the stage where i want to get more blood work to determine why my T is low. i beleive it is AAS enduced hypergonadism but i never had bloods done prior to AAS to know for sure. Is it testicular disfunction? is my patuitary gland shutdown and not producing lutinizing hormone? where does the problem lie? hopfully ill be able to restart my HPTA and get back to normal.

last test was about 4 weeks ago, and was just a check to see if my test was low so alot of it wasnt checked. my free t4 was 11.9 (normal), my Thyroid stimulating hormone was 1.0 (normal),my test was 9.3 (low)

so here is what i want to know, what kind of panel should i be asking for?

    1. Testosterone , Total
    2. Testosterone, Free
    3. Sensitive E2 Assay (Not basic estradiol, that's for women)
    4. CBC (Compete blood count)
    5. CMP (Comprehensive metabolic panel)
    6. Lipid Profile (post cycle is fine)
    7. LH and FSH

    can/should they test leydig cells?

    ?????????????????????

    Thanks OingoBoingo!

    o Total Testosterone
o Bioavailable testosterone (aka Free and Loosely Bound)
    o Free Testosterone
    o SHBG
o DHT (gel users especially pay attention to this)
o Estradiol (specify "sensitive" assay for males)
    o LH
    o FSH
    o Prolactin
    o Cortisol
    o Thyroid Panel (complete)
    o CBC
    o Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
    o Lipid Panel
    o PSA (age dependent)
o IGF-1, IGFBP-3 (if HGH therapy is being considered)
    o Vitamin D

I feel as though i have a long hard road in front of me. Ive seen multiple GPs and in some regards im further educated then they are when it comes to the endocrine system and the rec use of AAS. I tried to see an endo but here in Australia as soon as you mention the word "steroids " they basically tell you to GTFO! I just want to be myself again

In the US they have sports doctors. Sometimes they can be a little more understanding.
