    Heart conditions

My one here have any heart conditions that they care to share. Those on TRT that is.
I found out I have or had some serious blockage, it was fixed with stents.
I just don't feel like the same person, having a rough time dealing with it and could use someone who cares to discuss. Thanks ppl.

I don't ppwc but I'm curious if you could expand on why you don't feel the same? Do you think it's physical or mental? Or a little of both?

Oh it's definitely mental Kel, I don't feel no different physically yet, but I know I will. The thing is I have always except for a few years been in tiptop shape, now I have these foreign things in my body and idk it's just hard dealing with.
I never, never expected what happen yesterday to have ever happened. Maybe when I was in my 60's but I'm young still. Now I have 5 stents in my body.
I thankful to my drs, because I could have had a major heart attach anytime. It's hard as a man to except that I'm not invincible.

I think I know something of how you are feeling. Sometimes an event happens that forces us to look at our own mortality and then we make a choice as to how we deal with it. I think you're on the right track and it's clear from what you said in the last sentences of your post. As I see it, the choice is always either gratitude or resentment. "Damn! I'm walking around with these foreign objects in my body. Why me?" OR "I'm so fortunate I have more time to be with my loved ones, to have new experiences, to savor the beauty of the world."

Just imagine how many people are alive and thriving today because of modern science. We live in amazing times. I'd like to be around in fifty years to see things then. I probably will. I plan on living forever.

Thanks for the encouraging words, we do live in an amazing time. They showed me the film of my heart before and after a hr long procedure and it wasn't what I expected walking in there. But the after was f......amazing. I am happy to be alive. It could have turned out worse if the wife didn't force me to get a yearly physical.

If it keeps bothering you ppwc why not consider talking to someone?
And it sounds like you have a smart woman there!

Cardiac events can be extremely demotivating and honestly, downright depressing. However, those feelings do fade with time from my experience.
Facing our own mortality has a way of humbling us to an excessive degree. Be thankful for your wife, she will be a huge part of your healing process (especially mentally). As Kel suggested, it may help to speak to a therapist or counselor.
I know my bouts with cardiac events were very depressing, but the bottom line is that addressing these issues can minimize/negate them.
Hang in there!!!! You'll be you old self before you know it. I found it helpful to refocus my thought process away from what "could have happened" and instead focus on "the things I want to achieve".

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Thanks guys, I know it will take time. I will talk to someone if I feel the need. Yes my wife has been amazing through all this.
