Hello - 300 mg a week testosterone cypionate and erectile dysfunction
Hello, my doctor unfortunately is not very knowledgeable it seems, I got most of my information from this site.
I was on 250 mg every 2 weeks and it fixed me for the first week for the most part, but the 2nd week sucked. So eventually I talked him into allowing me 300 mg a week, and I can inject myself. However, I have erectile dysfunction again. I can only assume that it's a) too much T and b) my estradiol is too high.
Here are my questions:
Would splitting the dose into perhaps 100 mg twice a week work better than 300 mg once a week (monday and thursday)? Would that alone possibly help lower estrogen levels? (I was always planning on doing twice a week injections but my doctor ho-hummed for about a year)
What's the best anti-estrogen? Cost IS an issue for me but I don't want useless products either so I'd settle for the best cost-effective thing...
What's the cheapest erection dysfunction pill? I tried viagra and it was a lot of money. I think almost $60 for 3 pills!
FINALLY, what's the best website to buy needles and syringes?
Thank you.

Definitely go to two shots a week instead of one. That should help you stay stable and help with the highs and lows. As far as erectile dysfunction meds, check out arr liquid CIA. It can not be beat for the price. Also Allegro medical for needles and syringes.

thanks for the swift response. as soon as my needles come in ill switch to twice a week. until then just once a week because the doctor gave me a limited supply.
yeah erectile dysfunction blows.
i wonder if T alone helps people with this sometimes or if they always need some sort of anti estrogen.

Holy chit..
First things first, back the test off. Like way off.
Less is more in trt. Go down to 100mg /week. Split that into 2 doses (50mg twice a week )
Get blood work done after 6 weeks on that.
On 300mg/week, what are your total t and free t numbers?
I can guarantee you (barring some sort of actual medical problem) that dropping your dose will remedy your e.d.
Your e2 is likely off the charts high.
To answer your questions anyways, ar-r (site sponsor, link in the top right hand corner of the screen) now sells syringes. They also sell liquid v (viagra) and Cia (cialis).
They also sell ai, but good lord man, if you drop your dose to 100 or even 150/week you may not need ai at all

thank you for the response! I was thinking the same exact thing, that it's way too much. my e2 is likely too high. I'll go the less is more route... will update...
EDIT: as a complete aside, will the lower testosterone slow muscle development or make me lose muscle i have already? that's not as important to me, i'd rather have normal levels and not have e.d., but also am curious of this as well. i rather like being able to lift all of the weight rack on every machine, and be able to lift big :PLast edited by Michael Red; 04-13-2015 at 11:01 PM.

100% agree, that's by far to much. Cut it in half. 150 mg a week is a good starting point.
it's very true, more is not better.
No you will not loose muscle being on a normal therapeutic TRT dose unless you are Huge, like competition and are well above your natural genetic limitation. Diet has a lot more to do with maintaining muscle than aas. AAS may help you get there quicker but if you dont have the proper diet you wont gain nearly as much and you defiantly wont maintain it. That's why you see body builders eating a TON of fool all day long.
You will actually probably gain more because if you E2 is elevated it does slow your growth because to much test is being converted into estrogen and you will probably have less water retention with lower/normal estrogen levels.

Are you 100% sure of those numbers? And what is the reference range for the tests? 300mg/wk is a very high trt dose, but what's more important is the results you get out of it. Which frankly that sounds very low in comparison to the dose you're on. Please give us as much info as possible before changing anything. As much previous blood work as you have access to along with complete ranges is a start.

That's my point. 300mg/wk sounds like a huge number when most people are used to seeing doses around 100-150 or so, but there are people out there who respond different and need more to get the same results. Before we all assume his doctor is crazy I want to make sure we have blood work. From the one result he mentioned, it sounds like he may in fact need a high dose so I'd hate to see him cut it in half without blood work to support that decision.

well my penis doesnt work at all with this high dose and i felt better at lower doses so im going to think about lowering it before my june appointment regardless. i'm sure that's what my doctor would just do anyway, and i already checked my bloodwork at this current level last month. hes just forcing me to do bloodwork for it again (at the same dose) so it coincides with my thyroid bloodwork.
but im going to CONSIDER it. maybe i wont lower it.

okay i took my shot 3 day ago, a lowered dose (of 150). my erection are actually already back, but i lose them still. maybe i'll lower it again next week. initially i realized i had hormonal problems when i had erectile dysfunction, but took a 25 mg DHEA tablet, and had an INSANE rush that gave me full confidence and great erections. i wonder what life would be like if i was always like that. i wonder if normal guys feel that way regularly. but DHEA stopped working so i went on TRT after a struggle. anyway that's my story. figured i'd write it down here. i also wonder what the conversion rate of DHEA to testosterone is, as in 25 mg of DHEA could give ___ much testosterone, etc. I'm not sure about that.
i suppose my estradiol is too high and will take time to go down? because of its half life. it's only been 3 days, and i also put more testoseterone in the other day, even though a lowered dose. so i should just give it more time?
also does any masturbation at all cause problems when you're on TRT? should i not masturbate at all to make sure my erections will be suitable when it's time with a partner? is that a standard practice, or should i be able to also practice self-love occasionally...
going to give blood in 5 weeks. i have more to say but want to keep it simple atm.Last edited by Michael Red; 04-18-2015 at 07:50 PM.

You should not be adjusting your dose week by week or you will be chasing your tale/symptoms. You should allow at least 2 or 3 weeks for your body to adjust to each change. it's good that things are starting to work again but give it time before making any judgments.
As for the self love, no it's not harmful but yes it makes a difference especially depending on frequency. Once a day, yeah some, 2 or 3x a day, yes a lot. It takes typically 3 days to build up a full load but that does not mean you should not be able to get hard.
