Not everyone needs to be at 1100 or at the top of range.... It's dependent on how that person feels!

Some will even say they've felt better say at 7-800 than 1100... At first yes they felt great but as time goes on more variables come into play.... Just food for thought...

OK thanks. Nach. So what your saying is for fat loss and preservation I am a probably good. But later when I want to put on lean muscle check it out. Or would I be better off try to get to 7-800. Then later try the big numbers.
I guess I don't mean later to put -n lean muscle because I definitely want that now but.... you know what I mentioned. 583 is good for good muscle grow and fat loss.

no 700-800 won't make that much difference. You can put on plenty of muscle with a level close to 600

I would think thats a good #... I Don't see any reason for you not to be able to grow & preserve new muscle tissue at that range!

Are you on TRT?? If so its all in how you feel... And FT(free T) can be a more accurate reading(and 583 - 600 is a good number) ... I wouldn't get to caught up in the numbers unless you didn't feel right or still having low t symptoms etc!

And by cleaning up your diet... Will do wonders as well, Vit D3 is a great supp(hormone)... You can pick some at your local Walgreens or pharmacy etc...

    GL w/your continued journey!

My levels were around 300 and if test only raised it to 583 I would increase test. I don't know if I would start testosterone at those levels although i believe if I'm not wrong some on here have had doctors prescribe at similar levels

I think he's natural, and asking about trt.

there's no way you should get on trt at those levels. I wish I was there without medication

Total T really means very little. What is your Free T level? And many things can cause fatigue (iron, thyroid, etc.) so don't automatically place the blame on testosterone . In the Finding A Doc sticky at the top of this forum is a list of BW. Next time request it as it will give your doctor (or us) a much better overall picture to assess.

    Blood work = BW
You need to have more blood work done and request your Free Testosterone levels , it's more accurate and tells more. Also would be good to check your Sensitive Estrogen.

^^^ this... Since your BMI is on the higher side... Your E2 could possibly be a lil elevated...

Also, do you feel stressed? If so check your Cortisol(I would anyway) Thyroid(free T3 Free T4 and TSH) hypothyroidism causes hypogonadism(lowT)... I'd also check your prolactin, LH, FSH(if not already done)

If your INS... Doesn't cover this go to private md labs .com(all one word) if your in the states...

    Bw

My doc who told me I 583 and was fine I think might have been not true, here is my BW. It is from October so I was probably a good 30-35 lbs heavier but here it is. I can find the E2 leves, or t3, or any of that other stuff. Did I take the wrong one? my test level in on the bottom

Other than testosterone those panels don't really help. Get the listed tests I recommended previously. These will lead you (us) in the right direction in finding out the root cause of your low T.

OK, do I just ask for a free test estrogen and the other or is it all in one kind of draw.

Really you need everything. Just print out this list:

    • Total Testosterone
    • Bioavailable testosterone (aka Free and Loosely Bound)
    • Free Testosterone
    • SHBG
    • DHT (gel users especially pay attention to this)
    • Estradiol (specify “sensitive” assay for males)
    • LH
    • FSH
    • Prolactin
    • Cortisol
    • Thyroid Panel (complete)
    • CBC
    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
    • Lipid Panel
    • PSA (age dependent)
    • IGF-1, IGFBP-3 (if HGH therapy is being considered)
    • Vitamin D
