Low T update
At 18 years old I did random testosterone bloodwork, it turned out to be very low, came to endocrinologist, we did more bloodwork: test still low, estrogen normal, high prolactin. I got prescribed bromocriptine, and i'm taking it for a few months now, 6 x 2.5mg tabs a day. I feel better - less depression, don't feel lethargic when doing nothing after i slept 12 hours, more sex drive, occasional morning woods, but i still have baby face, no facial/body hair (well, few white hairs popped up), relatively low strength at gym. My tissue under left nipple is almost gone, but i still get puffyness (estrogens are normal, so i probably need some SERM's).
I'm really considering TRT now. My doc says my test is "normal" (barely within the range), so i would have to find new doc, or self medicate. What options i have without TRT?
Is it safe if i take it in TRT doses, not in "steroid cycle" doses?
Edit:
My stats:
6 feet tall
about 190 lbs, relatively lean
242 lbs bench
165 lbs military press
352 lbs squat
440 lbs deadlift
I'm not saying i'm weak, but most of newbies that come to my gym get similar stats very quickly, meanwhile i worked for about 4 yearsLast edited by i_inject_protein; 05-01-2015 at 06:34 AM.

Your lifting stats don't matter at all when it comes to trt. We're more interested in blood work results. Numbers and ranges.
As a side note, I'm 6'1 190 and you have me beat on everything but the bench. Your stats are fine.

I'm going for bloodwork this month. But let's say i still have low or barely in range tesosterone.
I'm from country that TRT is not really popular, and i think that finding a doc thread is for US mainly.
@hawk14dl how long have you been lifting?

I self medicate so to speak ,but on the other side I stick around this forum and have learned a lot and still need to learn more.
It's incredible how incompetent Docs are around here. I literally have sat at a few Doctors offices and debated them with my wife next to me.
So in conclusion ,read as much as possible , so that when you do find a Doc, you know you have an idea of what you are talking about.

I've found doc that specifies on TRT in US. He obviously can't prescribe me anything but was generous enough to talk with me for free. He said that if i know my shit, get bloodwork done regularly and have good sources for meds, self medicating is not a problem.
I think that's what i will do. But i want to give HRC a shot first, if my endo will even know what it is and be willing to prescribe it to me.Last edited by i_inject_protein; 05-04-2015 at 10:00 AM.
