    trt effective dosing

I'm just curious what an effective dose of trt would be. I just started therapy and I'm getting 100mg a week. What can i expect, not just in strength and mass, but how long before I feel it and how it makes you feel mentally? Thanks.

Everyone is different with a lot of variables to consider but at a 100mg a week you should feel good with less yo-yo. That said, remember the second T in TRT stands for Therapy, not cycle. Give it 4-6 weeks for the Therapy to start.

If you want to cycle, bump it to 3-400mg.

It all depends, are you self dosing? Do you have a Doc who looks after you?
You should feel mentally better within the first injection. It also depends on Bloodwork and how you feel.
It may very well be that 100 mg wkly may not suffice. It may be that you would have to up the dose.
You have and Ai on hand? Or you may also use magnesium, zinc as an natural Estrogen blocker.
There are many factors that make this journey quite interesting. Low T just means to get to know yourself and your body. Details that before we never understood and didn't even care. Once on TRT you learn to take care of yourself by not taking your body for granted. This is what the LORD meant by loving and accepting yourself so that you can love and accept others.
Trt will part of you from now on and you will learn new things by the day.
    Stick around

    Other Bros may chime in

Thanks for the responses. I am supervised by a doctor and I have to go get my shots weekly. My blood work was done and my test was 540 but I had high shbg(sex hormone binding globulin) so my free test was low. Everything else was g2g like my prostate. I've just felt fatigued for awhile and joint aches and trouble sleeping. That's why I decided to get checked. I do workout, have for a decade, so I do want to be able to keep doing that, and I will, but when you lose strength it gets harder to stay motivated. I'm only 31 so I feel like I shouldn't be getting weaker. Hoping to find a source eventually so I can self dose but I'm not rushing into it. Thanks again for the feedback.

Why would you want to self medicate? You've got a script for the pharmaceutical grade test, keep it. You want to blast then that's different but keep your trt on the up and up.

    Exactly this ^^.

Question op, you had a 540 total test level but your Free T was low? What's the range on your T levels? Love to see your pre-TRT blood work to see if your doc missed anything......
And there's no reason to have to visit the doc every week for shots. That's ridiculous and usually just a way to bill your insurance for a visit.

I don't actually have a script. I'm going to a place called low t center and they don't do scripts, they only do shots there. I know it sounds crazy but its the only place close to me to get anything like this. I'll be going on vacation soon and I might look into finding someone there to see if I can get a script somehow. Still new to this so I'm learning before I make any decisions.

But you've already made a crucial decision, which was starting TRT when you possibly may not have needed it. Know that clinic's don't always have your best interest at heart. Develop a relationship with a doctor who knows hormones and you'll be fine.
