Opinion on testosterone decanoate for trt treatment

    Hi Guys,

According to my uro I have low test levels which according to her should be treated with exogeneous testosterone .

I studied US trt protocols somewhat and discovered that testosterone enanthate en testosterone cypionate are commonly used.

In my country only testosterone decanoate or sustanon injections are available. And injections are done with very high intervals. + 2 weeks

For some reason I have the idea that this is not a protocol that I'm looking for and will try to convince my endo to prescribe me Cypionate or Enanthate .

I have to come with good arguments though. What is your opinion on which esters are most suitable for trt and why?

    My personal idea's are:
    - Blood levels are easily adjustable with shorter esters.
    - In case I want to stop the treatment it's faster out of my system.

If you have the chance go with Nebido. Many guys here are on it and love it. What's most suitable is subjective and no one can answer that for you. Nebido (Aveed) just became available in the US early last year and it's just not as widely used as enth or cyp. They also reduced the dosage by 250 mgs here as well.

When it comes to wanting to stop the treatment, who on earth would you do that if you justifiably need TRT? That makes no sense. If you have doubts that you need TRT then search further for the cause of your low T.

Decanoate is fine. It's all testosterone . And why would you go in with an exit plan anyway? It's medically necessary, not something fun to try.

Sustanon works good too, but generally not over 2 weeks. Usually the frequency settles in between 10 to 14 days. If 1ml at a time gets too rough there's always an option to split and inject 0.5ml at a time every 5-7 days. And same thoughts about the exit plan as above.
