TRT for a year safely and still keep HTPA working?
I have a question about the line between a cycle and TRT. I have had people tell me that I can stay on for 12 months safely with a TRT doctor without having my HTPA shut down. The only reasoning I can think this to be possible is if I'm using HCG and doing all relevant blood work, maybe the doctor can keep HTPA from shutting down by monitoring blood tests?
Is such a thing possible? Is there a middle ground between a 12 week cycle and TRT?

No, this is not possible. Sure you can keep your testicles working with HCG , but your HPTA is disrupted with exogenous testosterone . Your body will stop sending a signal to your testicles. When you come off of testosterone you will still need time for your system to recuperate. Sure HCG will replace that signal, but when you come off you will have nothing initially coming from your brain to your pituitary and on to testes.

I understand how HTPA works, but my question is more about people doing TRT for a year+ with a doctor and then getting off and not needing lifetime TRT.
I understand it can take longer to bounce back but is it possible to stay on test for a months or a year without needing lifetime TRT?

if you needed HRT, you will likely need it for life, or not be on it at all even for a year.
if you dont need HRT, yes you can do a cycle and recover if all is normal.. thats why we rec PCT to help

Well I'm recovering from an injury and testosterone is greatly helping me... its not really about whether I need HRT.
I just wanted to know if people have done this since I've heard of people going on for a year or more with the doctor and then going off back to normal (i assume). Is this a myth or what?
For now, I am planning to cycle off. But if this is an option it would greatly help me... I can finally function again.

Well that is not what you asked initially. You can PCT and go back to normal or worse. A risk you take, and doing it longer may increase chances of a negative outcome.
Most doctors will say, sure you can come off trt, but you will go back to feeling like you did before. If you didn't need trt you might not understand this.
