went for my follow up on Friday with my Endo, I had Dr. Crislers study printed out with me. I explained how I felt and asked if possibly introduce HCG , she asked if I was trying to have more kids. I explained to her that in fact me and my wife would like another in the future but not now and that I was interested to add a small amount of HCG to the TRT and summarized Dr. Crislers study and also gave it to her to read if she was interested. She said she was somewhat familiar with HCG while on TRT. My endo seem a little weird but she is definitely willing to listen and work with me.

She raised my weekly dose of test to 120 mg and submitted a request for 10,000 units of Novarel (HCG) 2/250iu weekly to my insurance to be approved. I was told to come back in 5 weeks to do BW.

I want to start changing my pin to a split dose every 3.5 days like Kelkel recommended but I also want to wait until the next BW I want to follow her directions as she has worked with me and do not want to lose her trust.

Sounds like your endo is willing to listen to you, and it's good that you brought Crisler's paper.

My only other advice to you (since I'm also new to TRT) would be, if you ever decide that this endo isn't working, to see a Urologist instead of an Endo. Urologists (many are also 'Andrologists') are usually more familiar with prescribing test and running the right blood work. Endocrinologists seem to be very unfamiliar with it in general, as mine was. They seem to know a lot about diabetes, but not hypogonadism. Just my two cents.

    Cheers

Yes Kelkel suggested I should bring it in and its a good thing. As far as seeing a Urologist I agree but being in the Military and it took me years and for my GP to retire before i got a referral to an outside Dr. The first Endo was just a patient mill and insisted all was well barely even looking at my BW, took my BW else where and had more testing. My current Endo and Nurse practitioner has mentioned they treat a few BB who has been shut down, so I feel they might have some good knowledge. By far being on this forum has helped me rather than just trusting any doctor, I feel the hands on experience on this board is far greater than some Dr that has never really dealt with TRT but rather read about it.

My goal is to get the TRT dialed in, I asked my GP if he would continue treatment once the specialist had it under control and he says he has no problem working with me and writing my scripts. In all I think it is going in the right direction.

thank you for your input Charlie6

Got the ok for the HCG , insurance said whatever no need for authorisation. Should be ready to pick up tomorrow. I normally inject test once a week on fridays. How should I split the HCG? 2 days prior to test and then 3.5 days after that?

Do it with your test than 3.5 days after.

    **** UPDATE****
Endo only tested my Total T @ 715 249-836, that is an improvement of 300 points.
based on my old BW (Albumin 4.5 g/dL / SHBG 14 nmol/L) this should land my Free test at 22.1 ng/dL and Bioavailable test at 542 ng/dL

been on 120Mg Test C/week along with 2x250iu HCG injected 2 days/1 day prior to Test C. My testicles have definitely gained size back but my sack is still not back to its normal larger size. Erections/Orgasm's are stronger and I wake up every morning with hard wood, I haven't seen much change in ejaculation. My mood has improved along with my energy, I truly think the HCG is responsible. I have been thinking of adding DHEA and Pregnenolone to back fill the pathways but I will stay on this protocol for a bit longer as I am already feeling better.

latest BW pulled last Friday just before weekly injection, I have decided to go back down to 100mg test c a week. I am getting more than normal amount of pimples and I think my E2 is running a little bit high. I have an appointment with my Endo in a week and will ask her to split injections 2x a week.

AST is just over the limit but not sure if that is something to worry about also my HCT seems to hover around 46.
