    Soft erections on trt

I've been on a testosterone replacement for a year now and everything has been working superb except my downstairs have been lacking a full erection almost the whole time during my trt.

Before trt I was able to get a good hard erection, but usually it didn't last very long. I was forced to use Viagra if I wanted to play around even a bit longer. Now the latter part still exists if and when it would get hard, but on top of that I got soft erections for the majority of my time. Viagra usually does the trick, but from time to time even that fails. I've also noticed things get better in terms of erection hardness and quality when closing to the next injection. Can't really figure what's behind there?

My protocol is following: Nebido every 8 weeks + Anastrozole 0,25mg e3d, giving me trough total testosterone of 21 nmol/l (10-38) which equals just above 600 ng/dl. My free T is quite high while SHBG is standing at 18. E2 (non sensitive) has been in every measurement in between 0.07-0.11 nmol/l (<0.15) which I believe equals 12-19 pg/ml. I also donate every three months due to my hematocrit rising too high.

I've noticed that controlling my E2 has been very very tricky and on top of that I'm very sensitive to it. It took a while to get it under control. I was way too low and then suddenly way too high. I don't feel the best while standing at 12 pg/ml, but then again if I let it slip to 23 pg/ml and I'm already sweating like a pig, can't sleep and downstairs is dead.

I'm going to run E2 and Prolactin (before trt my Prolaction was 150 mU/I) labs today and also will buy a blood pressure monitor. I haven't been monitoring that at all. On top of those is there something else I should seek for?

I really don't know but you might try switching to test cyp and inject twice a week.

At least it would stabilize your levels

You may also consider using Aromasin /Exemetane as an AI. Much smoother and IMO, easier to control E2 issues. Anastrozole has a wicked rebound and it's very hard to get the dose right, from my experience.

I tried but due to its SHBG lowering effect I switched back to Anastrozole. Doesn't make sense to lower already low SHBG. Am I right?

Blood pressure has been jumping yesterday and today in between 121-125/72-77 so I guess there's nothing too disturbing going on there which could explain this.

I understand that aromasin does have a significant effect on SHBG, but what's the problem with lower SHBG....unless it's in the toilet?

The baseline of mine is under 20, which based on my readings would be the healthy lower limit for the SHBG. Though I haven't been running into any truly reliable source regarding where SHBG should be, but when mine went down to 13 on Aromasin I think it's too low? It was just an observation that I felt this whole thing went worse while on it. And it was easy to dial in, after a week my E2 was 19 pg/ml.

Other than that I agree, Aromasin is way better as an AI when compared to Anastrozole.

One additional thing to mention is that my morning erections / night erections are spot on.
