    Blood Work Back

I've been on TRT for well over a year. I just got my blood work back today. My last test was a year ago. It came in at testosterone , total at 200, last year it was 237. The range listed on the test is 175-781 nd/dl. My question is, does Test continue to drop the older you get? I'm 41 in November. I ordered HCG and it should be here in a few weeks. Is there anything I can do to help raise the number any, I realize I'll be on low T forever, I guess it's a pride thing, 200 sucks.

I can tell you right now that you will have to post everything the blood test was for. Total, Free, E2...etc with ranges. It's the only way anyone can make an educated response. The more info, the better. Include your TRT protocol also.

    What Brett said above.

Start with posting your protocol and telling us when your last injection was relative to your blood work being pulled?
Know that the range your lab is using is old as well. More modern range is 348 - 1197, which puts you even more in the hole.
If your doctor thinks that level is acceptable then you need another doctor.

I posted my blood work, I forgot to post my protocol.

I'm on 200mg of test C, 200 mg of B12 & B6 every 2 weeks. After my last visit a few days ago, she suggested that I change to 100 mg of the test C once a week. It was a week and two days from my injection of test C to my blood test.

I'm also doing Austinite diet, Chromium pico, green tea, and synephrine. I'm doing great with the diet aspect. I'm almost 41, 6'4" 270. My diet is good, all the bad things are dropping. Thanks in advance

    Hi Paden,

Do us a favor and re-post your lab work straight up please, then we all can dig into it. That or pay for the hot female masseuse to work on my neck!

When it comes to your protocol of 200 mgs every two weeks that explains how you feel. Test peaks in a day or so and has a half-life of 5 days or so which is why an every two week protocol is horrible and a sign the doc doesn't understand hormones. She's basing this on the terminal life of test, not it's half-life, which is not what anyone wants. It's a roller coaster when it comes to your test level. Think of it this way: you inject your dose, it peaks in a day or so and then slowly begins a downward slide. When you get to the second week your level is in the toilet and you feel like you are too. Look at the below graph:

This should give a clear view of things and show why you need the once per week (at a minimum) protocol. The smaller and more frequent injection will keep your serum level higher and your E2 lower. Now, splitting that 100 mg dose into 50 mgs x 2 per week would assist even more with controlling estrogen and keeping test levels even more stable.

When you can straighten up those pics i'll comment on the BW.

Kel nailed it in terms of your hormone issue.

Your glucose and A1c values are also a bit concerning. Many would consider this to indicate pre-diabetes.

Your RBCs are too high. It's very important for you to get this in check. Donate some blood ASAP, and keep an eye on your RBCs and hematocrit from here on out. Blood donation is a regular occurrence for many of us on HRT, and it appears that it will be for you as well.

Your ALT is elevated. It's usually not a huge deal for it to be slightly out of range, but I'd start taking a liver support supplement like NAC if I were you. It'll also be beneficial for improving your cholesterol issues.

Your lipids need some work. Some dietary changes may be in order for you.

Kelkel, here is the blood work straight up this time. After reading your post on cholesterol again today, i ordered NAC, Slo-Niacin, and Red Yeast Rice. I'll be starting this next week when I get back. Again, thanks in advance.

    Agree with Chauffeur's assessment.
We've talked elsewhere about your lipids.
