Did my test. Shot in my leg and now there's a huge lump
Hi guys!
So I did my test shot and as soon as I put the needle in, I could tell this one was going to be a rough one. Anyway, I did my shot, usually they're painless but this time it hurt a bit when I was injecting the test. After I pulled the needle out, there was tons of blood and now I have this huge lump on my leg where the injection was. Is this anything to be worried about? Thanks!
P.s. I tried to do some googling but didn't find much

I'm going to say nothing to worry about. I've done this several times and it's usually when I pin in the thigh. It's mostly likely to you penetrating a large vessel and causing blood to flow out forming a hematoma. Every time I've done it, blood shoots out right as you pull the needle out. Should stop bleeding right away. Best thing to do is not ice it but use a heat pad if it's a big deal to you. It'll help keep the blood from coagulating under the skin so the swelling will go down faster and less change of bruising if you're worried about it showing when you're wearing a skirt...

Believe it or not, subQ is always more painful to me even with smaller gauge pin. I rarely have pain and going IM is always easier to me. But hey, that's just like, my opinion man....

Nothings wrong with delt or glute. I've just always done it in the quad. Seems easier to aspirated the needle bc it's literally right in front of me and this is the only time I've ever had any problems... well, there was the time I blew through a nerve... but that's a different story!
