Many of us regularly donate blood to keep hematocrit in a healthy range. I have donated double red cells every 16 weeks or so since starting TRT three years ago.

The blood center measures hematocrit before donations and I always come in at 50-51. After a double red cell donation I feel a loss of cardio capacity that gradually improves over a couple of weeks.

When I donated yesterday I was tested before and came in at 50. I asked the tech to test me again after the procedure and I came in at 44! This was a bigger change than I expected. I'm 6'1" and 260 lbs at around 13-14% body fat.

I'm sharing this experience to help guys decide if the double donation is right for them.
