    Arimidex vs Exemestane

On reading the experience of some here I noted that the body can become acquainted to higher T over time and therefore less AI may be needed. I think I can attest to that. I have also dropped the T dose from 80mg/wk to 70 mg/wk as total T was 975 ng/dl and free at the top end of the range, so edging it down a bit seems prudent. I would like to be able to not have to use an AI at all as I wonder how these foreign chemicals affect the body besides competing for E2. At the moment I take 0.2mg of adex/wk (2 x 0/1). My question is that if I take 12.5mg exemestane/wk - is that a higher chemical load for the body to have to metabolize and get rid of somehow? The reason I am considering it is that adex seems to cause E2 to bounce around too much & that some here believe that exemestane provides a slower but smoother effect. But I am wondering about 12.5g vs 0.2g/wk. Any ideas?

You are best off avoiding both of them, if at all possible.
Have you tried splitting your dose in half and taking it twice a week?
I take 40mg test twice a week and my E2 is toward the bottom of the reference range.

First, go by blood work and then ask yourself how you've been feeling at the levels indicated. IMO, Adex is bad news. I like Exemestane. The reasons you indicated are why.

Also, IMO, you're overthinking this "chemical load" stuff. I feel if you need something that makes you feel better and there is no danger in taking it, go for it. I lowered my T dose to about 84mg/week and I continue to take 12.5mg exemestane per week. I've been feeling very good.

Sox, In episode 2 of The Truth About Cancer there was a piece on essential oils which have molecular sizes which are very small compared to many synthetic compounds. Dr Axe was saying that myrrh has the effect of clearing out excess estrogen - so I think I will get some and try it. A pretty exciting idea. Also, frankincense has marvellous healing properties. I would rather go this way if it works as the body recognizes it. Feeling pretty good at the moment - have dropped the adex for now as E2 was obviously too low. JH.

Correction - I got this wrong - it is frankincense that has the estrogen effect according to Dr Axe - apologies.
